Morrissey Vs Jimmy Kimmel
Morrissey learned the hard way from Jimmy Kimmel that if you bail out on a late night TV appearance in the U.S., you become open season for ridicule from the show's host.

Jimmy Kimmel took aim at Morrissey after the singer and vegetarian pulled out of an appearance on Tuesday night when he learned that cast members from the reality show "Duck Dynasty" where also scheduled to appear on the show. People that the singer labeled as "animal serial killers" in a statement.

Kimmel addressed the controversy in his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue, "There's a very good reason why I didn't dump the Duck Dynasty guys for Morrissey, and it's because they have guns."

Kimmel then said, "He [Morrissey] keeps finding new ways to depress us." Kimmel then introduced a skit that showcased Duck Dynasty product for vegetarians including a "carrot call" for luring vegetables which was described as "yuppie food," according to ASB. Watch the skit here.

American Idol's Nicki Minaj Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors
(Extra) "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj is blasting plastic surgery rumors, telling "Extra's" Renee Bargh, "I've never had surgery on my face…They'll see contour and they'll think you had surgery on your nose, no no no, look at RuPaul's drag race and you'll see how you can make your nose look any shape you want."

The "Pink Friday" singer credits cosmetics for her ever-changing look, explaining, "When people see my makeup they think all types of crazy things that I'm doing to my skin, but it's makeup."

Nicki, who joined forces with MAC to create the VIVA Glam makeup line which she is now debuting her second lipstick for said she's also toning down her look in 2013. "It's a bit more grown and sexy and like... less is more."

Not even Minaj can be a glam girl every day. She revealed her dressed-down look is typically a "scarf on my head, t-shirt, Uggs."

When Renee asked about a hypothetical "Idol" sing-off, "If Randy and Keith were the last two judges and you and Mariah were the last two contestants competing on American Idol, who would win?"

Nicki, "Me of course! Oh, I wouldn't sing, I would just stand there and flash my *****"

Singled Out: Kids Without Instruments
Today Long Beach duo Kids Without Instruments tell us about their brand new single and video for the song "Nausea Nostalgia," from their new EP. Here is the story:

Hello antiMusic.com we are Kids Without Instruments an electro-clash pop duo from Long Beach, CA. Our song Nausea Nostalgia was the first song we had ever written as a band composed through Facebook messages we'd send to one another.

Marion: I got my inspiration for my lyrics specifically, "I don't care where you've been and what you've done, you still don't see the repercussions in the long run" thinking about this one time my ex-boyfriend came to visit me, two months before I wrote the song. He was already out for the summer from college, in Berkeley. He wasn't very nice when he came back--he was condescending in the way he spoke to me and he detuned my guitar! He went on and on talking about his new life in Berkeley and I honestly couldn't care less. I always acted like things were okay between us after we broke up, so he thought we were okay. However, when Frankie and I released this song my ex-boyfriend wasn't very pleased, which made me extremely satisfied.

For the video, we worked with Nina McNeely of WIFE, so we were working with visual projections. She told us to give her things that we were visually inspired by to work with. The costumes were inspired by Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, which is my inspiration, and the video game iconography is inspired by Chrono Trigger, Frankie's inspiration.

Filming was exciting, but it was physically tiring since we had to get up very early in the morning to beat traffic going to LA from Long Beach. Also, neither of us got any sleep the night before. We were lucky we had to move very little and the choreography was incredibly easy. The only thing that was extremely difficult was getting ourselves aligned with the projections, especially the ones that were really specific, like the crying heart eyes. We were told to scoot ourselves in different directions, and when we finally got ourselves aligned, we had to stay completely still for the entire take. It made me realize how much our bodies actually move when we think we're staying completely still.

Frankie: Originally Marion had created the chord progression and the marimba synths. I mostly filled in the rest; by adding the delayed drum beats, and created the bridge by chopping up an organ sample Marion had sent me with some 8-Bit square waves. My verse "If we could bury the past instead of letting it thrive, then we could both move on this love has long since died." Was written with the help of my friends Jay and Victoria, written on a pizza box, which I still have today.

During the music video shoot, I hadn't got any sleep the night before cause I was up all night watching YouTube videos. So basically I was really sleep deprived from the video and I don't remember much except for falling asleep on the floor, and standing really still and singing my lines. I look angry in the video, I cause all I really wanted to do was sleep.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song and video listen and see for yourself here and grab a free download of the EP right here!

Elton John Reveals New Album Details
(Radio.com) Forget everything Elton John said about his long-delayed album the last time his team spoke up. Apparently he'll change the album's name from Voyeur back to its original title, The Diving Board, and it won't be released likely until September, despite his songwriting partner Bernie Taupin recently suggesting a May release.

Fans may have to wait six+ months for the T Bone Burnett-produced album, which John previewed for journalists and friends last week, but he's giving a little taste of what's to come. "It's got everything I love about American music – gospel, soul, country," he reportedly said at the listening (via Rolling Stone).

The Diving Board is also apparently the "most piano-orientated record [he's] ever made," though it does feature a few famous guests on instrumental duties. Raphael Saadiq played bass, while Doyle Bramhall II and producer Burnett played guitar on various songs and Motown legend Jack Ashford covered percussion.

"This is the album I should be making after The Union," John also reportedly said at listening, referring to his 2010 collaborative album with Leon Russell. "It's the most adult record I can make at my age. I'm just heading toward being 80 years old and playing at the Holiday Inn." more on this story

Daft Punk Hint At Major New Deal
(Radio.com) The return of the robots is imminent, as Daft Punk has confirmed signing with Columbia Records.

The electronic duo verified the move by posting a new image to their official website depicting their recognizable helmets with the Columbia logo discreetly in the corner.

Rumors have been swirling about new Daft Punk music since last year, when famed producer (and Chic leader) Nile Rodgers revealed that he'd met with the duo at his New York apartment.

"We were just jamming at my house, but it's gonna be proper and real," Rodgers told Australia's Faster Louder in February 2012. "We were having so much fun just in an informal setting that we decided to make it formal. And it's very formal. It's gonna be amazing." more on this story

New Politics Ready To Challenge Justin Timberlake
(Radio.com) While there are precious few artists with the dance moves to challenge Justin Timberlake (Usher immediately comes to mind), New Politics frontman David Boyd is up to the task.

During an exclusive interview with Radio.com, the band responsible for new hit single "Harlem" chowed down on In-N-Out Burger while Boyd revealed his not-so-secret past as a professional break-dancer.

"Dancing is also like my thing. I've traveled the world battling and I still have my crew and all that," the Denmark native explained, referencing Natural Effects Crew, with whom he toured as a dancer previously to joining New Politics, winning multiple competitions.

When asked if he could take on Timberlake in a one-on-one dance-off, Boyd is confident he could give the "Suit and Tie" singer a run for the money.

"I would definitely beat him in some things. I know that for a fact," Boyd said with a smile. "But I'm sure he would have some slick moves. I mean, he's Justin Timberlake." more on this story

Skrillex Scores Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens Movie
(Radio.com) Details have emerged regarding the soundtrack of provocative new film Spring Breakers, and it's heavy on the EDM bass of dubstep, courtesy Grammy-winning producer Skrillex.

The movie, which stars James Franco and former Disney Channel actresses Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, has courted controversy due to the abundance of risquι themes like armed robbery, drug use and wanton sexuality over the course of an ill-fated college spring break. The film's director, Harmony Korine, is no stranger to such cinema scandal, having written such contentious flicks as Kids and directing Gummo.

For the movie's soundtrack, Skrillex has teamed up with film and TV music composer Cliff Martinez, the one-time drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers best known for scoring popular 2011 Ryan Gosling thriller, Drive.

"I think this film is going to turn a lot of heads in many ways. It was a lot of fun to work with Harmony because he gave me the freedom and trust to do whatever I wanted," Skrillex said in a statement via Rolling Stone: "It was also super awesome having Cliff Martinez involved too. I think the work he did on Drive was spectacular and I was a big fan before I knew he was coming onto this project." more on this story

Cee Lo Releases Only You Video
(popmusiclife) Cee Lo Green has released the video for his new single, "Only You" ft. Lauriana Mae. The song is the lead track from Green's forthcoming fourth album, "Everybody's Brother."

The Ethan Lader-directed clip features rising singer Lauriana Mae as Green's duet partner. The visual shows the two walking around a swirly city that's folding in on itself, like a less scary Inception.

Wednesday night, Green launched his Las Vegas show, "Loberace," at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The residency was originally schedule to launch last August, but Cee Lo was forced to postpone the show due to a scheduling conflict with his work on NBC's The Voice. Check out the video here.

Michael Bolton Tributes Motown
(Radio.com) Michael Bolton's latest album, Ain't No Mountain High Enough: Tribute to Hitsville, features songs by Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder. But don't call it a covers album.

"When people say well, 'Why do a cover?'" Bolton told Radio.com, shaking his head. "Well, why were you humming the song while you were walking to school when you were ten? It's cause it's what you love."

As a kid, Bolton loved Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and even named his album, out February 26, in honor of their 1967 hit single. He said the main reason he loved Marvin and Tammi's famous duet was their undeniable chemistry, something he tried to recreate on his own version with Kelly Rowland.

"You really believe these two are madly in love," he said. "They look great together and the blend of their voices."

Adding with a smile, "There's only one Marvin."

But it was Bolton's brother who introduced him to Stevie Wonder, who would become the singer's biggest inspiration and whose "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" he pays tribute to on his latest release. more on this story

Capital Cities Doing Live Webcast Today
(Radio.com) Being labeled a "breakout alt-dance group" may be difficult for some, but for Los Angeles' Capital Cities it's a badge of honor.

The band will bring their positive vibes and vintage synthesizers to the Red Bull Sound Space this Thursday at 1p.m. PST / 4p.m. EST. With a mere 250 fans crammed into the tiny space, it's sure to be a fun and intimate webcast.

The band is doing their best to bring some 'hope' back to modern music with singles like their hit "Safe and Sound." "In some ways 'Safe and Sound' is an antidote to the human tendency to think in apocalyptic terms," explained Ryan Merchant, the band's co-founder. "It seems like every generation feels like it's living in the worst of times," he continues. Merchant explained the single is designed to lift fans out of the doomsday mindset. more on this story

Russell Brand Promises Katy Perry Dirt In New Book
(Radio.com) Everyone who has read Russell Brand's My Booky Wook autobiographies knows that he holds nothing back: addiction, love, mishaps, public embarrassment, jokes — they're all there in painstaking detail.

In a live interview to promote Comic Relief with British fan site Heatworld, Brand cheekily revealed that he will likely give us the dirt on his relationship and marriage to Katy Perry in future volumes of his work.

"Yeah, I will write more Booky Wooks. I love writing those Booky Wooks and there's a lot of things that have happened, a lot to cover…You can't write a book about your life and then not include things about your life."

Fair enough. Brand has been nothing but complimentary to Perry since their divorce and to expect anything less would be folly. With that in mind, here are five things we sincerely hope Russell Brand reveals when he does get down to writing about his marriage to Katy Perry.

1. What was his punishment for posting that early morning candid of her on Twitter?

It was the TwitPic heard round the world: Katy Perry with no make-up. This is the kind of thing that would tick off any wife, but when you're a pop star the stakes are higher. So, how long was he sleeping on the couch after that Twitter foul? Better yet, exactly what profane names did she call him? more on this story

Aaron Neville Changes Fashion For New Release
(Radio.com) Aaron Neville is a bit of a genre chameleon, recording albums in styles ranging from funk and R&B to country and gospel.

For his latest, My True Story, he re-envisions doo-wop, but the album isn't just a stylistic change musically. Instead of showing off his sizable biceps with his signature sleeveless t-shirts, Neville went all-in for the classic doo-wop vibe with suits, at least while promoting the new album.

"Before, I'd probably be in here with an Affliction t-shirt on," he told Radio.com. As someone who has always resisted wearing a tie, he looked to dapper comedian Steve Harvey for fashion inspiration.

"When I used to wear ties as a kid, my mom used to tie [them]," Neville said. "You've got to change your appearance for these things. So I went for some different type clothes. I dig Steve Harvey, he's the suit man, I be checking him out. And I guess you'll see me in a few more suits than t-shirts now."

On a more serious note, Neville says that his wife Sarah has been a big help in his fashion choices – and in moving on after the tragic passing of his wife of nearly 50 years, Joel, in 2007. more on this story

Camryn Talks Now or Never
(Radio.com) "'Now or Never' is a song about forbidden love but also about saying, 'It's now or never. We have to do this now,'" Camryn told Radio.com.

Camryn follows her own advice as she's currently touring the world with One Direction on their Take Me Home European Tour.

Her single "Now or Never" from her forthcoming debut album out later this year follows the same mentality as living in the moment.

"I feel it was the perfect time when we released it. So, it's kind of saying, 'Hey let's do this now because we don't know about tomorrow,'" she said. "It's our time. If we want to make this happen, let's do it.'" more on this story

Olly Murs Eyes America With Troublemaker
(Radio.com) Olly Murs is a household name in the U.K., who co-hosts TV shows and releases No. 1 albums. And he's hoping that his latest single, "Troublemaker," might lend a hand in making the U.S. just wild about Olly as well — so he tapped into a mixture of British and American influences to craft the song's sound.

Murs has enlisted some help to break in America. For his first trip over, he joined up with his X Factor UK friends One Direction. This time around he's doing it American style with Flo Rida, who guests on his latest single, "Troublemaker."

But it's hard to take the U.K. out of the boy and so when he stopped by Radio.com, we had to ask if there wasn't a little bit of influence from Jamiroquai on the track. Murs immediately set us right, saying that there was but the real production vibe he was aiming to hit was Maroon 5.

"I don't feel it's unfair to say ["Troublemaker"] is just Jamiroquai and Maroon 5 because I feel there's lots of other artists who've got that same sort of vibe," Murs explained. "I just decided to do something completely different, completely random and really just try and be creative. I'm really excited about it. The reaction from the UK and Europe so far has been amazing, as has it been in America as well. Fingers crossed it does well." more on this story

Britt Nicole's Positive Message Having An Impact With Fans
(Radio.com) Britt Nicole's latest single "Gold" embodies an uplifting message that tells listeners how to deal with the inevitable bad day. After she released the track she received messages from fans telling her what they've been dealing with.

A role model in her own right, Radio.com sat down with Britt Nicole and asked her who some of her biggest inspirations are.

"Number one, I like artists that are really passionate about what they are saying and are really authentic," she said. "Taylor Swift is someone who is very real in her songwriting. I respect her as a songwriter. I think she's very good at just sharing her heart and what's going on in her life."

Another performer she looks up to is Mary J. Blige. "Then there's artists like Mary J. Blige, who is very passionate," she said. "I went to one of her concerts. I remember watching her and going, 'Man, she really believes in what she's singing and what she's saying and I can feel it right here (points to her heart.)' That really means something to me. So I really respect artists like that." more on this story

Nelly Upgrades Little Red Corvette To Porsche
(Radio.com) AMP Radio's Seena sat down with Nelly to talk about the making of his seventh studio album and new single, "Hey Porsche."

"It's one of those things that I feel like is our version of 'Little Red Corvette.' The way that song made you feel is kind of like what that is right here."

Nelly is a fan of Prince, but he doesn't want to compare himself to the singer. The DJ Frank E produced track is "incredible," as Nelly puts it, and wants the song to be a modern day "Ride Wit Me."

While Seena had Nelly on the couch, she couldn't help but ask him for a few workout tips. The rapper has a line of workout DVDs titled, Celebrity Sweat which features Ray Lewis, Andrew Bynum, The Bella Twins and more. Nelly suggests Seena does squats and legwork if she wants to keep it "right and tight." more on this story
