Frank Ocean Collaborates With Depeche Mode's Martin Gore

(Radio.com) During a recent interview, Depeche Mode lead singer Dave Gahan revealed that vocalist Frank Ocean has collaborated with the band's main songwriter, Martin Gore.

"We were in the studio in New York, and we were filming and recording some live tracks toward the end of the session. I was singing, Martin [Gore] on guitar, a few of the other guys," Gahan told Entertainment Weekly about a session for Depeche Mode's forthcoming new album, Delta Machine.

"Suddenly in the doorway, I sensed this presence, and I realized there was this guy standing there just watching," Gahan continued. "An assistant came up to me in between songs and said, 'Do you mind? Frank Ocean is here working in another studio and really wants to meet you guys.' I wouldn't have thought he would have even known who we are, but it turns out he's a big fan."

Gahan went on to say that Gore, Ocean and producer Christoffer Berg worked on a song together, which he believes will be on Ocean's forthcoming album. more on this story

Seth MacFarlane Shares Favorite Oscars Moments

(Extra) Host Seth MacFarlane came to the 2013 Oscars locked and loaded, and the stars came ready to duck and cover. "Extra's" Maria Menounos conducted an exclusive interview with MacFarlane backstage and got his reaction to the show.

While hiding from the press line, Seth took a moment to reflect on Hollywood's biggest night. When asked about his favorite show moment, he told Maria, "There were too many. I guess if I had to pick… [William] Shatner is up there, because he put on the uniform. He came out there... he brought it and was awesome."

Shatner's bit — via a Captain Kirk from the future — was meant to save MacFarlane from getting ripped by the press the day after the show. How did the "Family Guy" creator think he did?

"We'll let the always generous critics determine that," he quipped.

While early reviews were mixed, Ben Affleck and George Clooney both thought he was "great."

Ben explained, "I thought he walked a beautiful line between being sharp and making jokes that were funny, but also not just being over the top just to be over the top to show he could do it."

Seth hit George with a zinger during the show, but the jab didn't bother the Oscar winner, who explained, "I've never not gotten a hit, so I'm fine with that, but he's a friend. I like him a lot. I thought he was funny."

Seth's biggest supporters, his father Ron and sister Rachael, were behind him all the way. They told Mario before the show, "Seth we love you, we're so incredibly proud of you and we know you're going to be spectacular, absolutely spectacular... knock 'em dead." more on this story

Andy Dick Joins Dancing with the Stars?

Andy Dick has reportedly joined the cast for the next installment of Dancing with the Stars, according to TMZ.

They report that Sources close to the production told them that Dick was on the set of the show yesterday.

One source told the site, "He's more for comedy ... nobody expects much from him." While another insists that the actor is taking the competition very seriously.

The sources also told them that Lisa Vanderpump, and D.L. Hughley were on set and are also believed to have signed contracts to compete on the show.

TMZ reports that the show will also feature Wynonna Judd, Kellie Pickler, Aly Raisman, Jacoby Jones, Sean Lowe and Victor Ortiz.

Lindsay Lohan Hit With Another Tax Lien

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has some more trouble on her hands in the form of a new tax lien from the Golden State.

The actress reportedly owes the state of California $56,717 for her unpaid 2011 income taxes, according to Aceshowbiz.

The site reports that a representative in the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office said that the new lien was filed Thursday, February 21.

Lohan faced similar trouble for reportedly failing to pay taxes in 2009 and in 2010, according to the report.

Tim McGraw Scores His 33rd No. 1 Song

Tim McGraw's latest single "One Of Those Nights" has topped the Billboard Country chart, giving the country star his 33rd No. 1 single.

"It feels great to have the No. one song…it's always a really special feeling," said McGraw. "Country radio has never let me down, and I'm so thankful for those relationships. It's going to be a great song for the tour this summer…it sets the perfect tone for an awesome night!"

The comes from McGraw's No. one selling new album, Two Lanes Of Freedom, which was recently released by Big Machine Records.

McGraw will be taping the ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night on April 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for future television broadcast on the CBS. more on this story

Cowboy Junkies Launching Spring Tour

The Cowboy Junkies will be hitting the road next month to launch their North American spring tour.

The tour is set to kick off on March 1st in Northampton, MA and will conclude on May 4th in Santa Cruz, CA.

The group will be touring in support of their Nomad Series, a series of 4 albums that were released over an 18 month period.

The band plans to perform some special shows at select stops during the tour where they will be performing two sets that will include a Trinity Session performance, as well as songs from The Nomad Series. more on this story

Tegan and Sara Explain Their Evolution

(Radio.com) It might be hard to believe but Tegan and Sara have been making music for close to 20 years. The sisters began their musical evolution in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1995.

"This record, Heartthrob, is our most pop sounding record," Tegan told Fresh 102.7/New York during the duo's performance at City Winery. "But I think that we've been on a musical evolution since we started back in the '90s."

The gradual transition in their music writing style has been natural to the sisters and supported by fans, from the guitar dominated This Business of Art to their popular fifth studio release The Con. Despite the eclectic sound they have produced over the years, which Tegan describes as not having a "place in a record store," there has been one common characteristic binding their catalog.

"I think that most importantly we are songwriters," say Tegan, who admits she wanted Heartthrob to be more of a "Tegan and Sara record," as opposed to one that sounds split by the two very different perspectives of the twin sisters. "This record is definitely pop leaning but it's still Tegan and Sara songs. There's still a lot of heartbreak, a lot of longing, a lot of sadness and there's actually some romance . Easton Corbin Delivers All Over The Road Video

(Radio.com) In Easton Corbin's brand new video for his latest single, "All Over The Road", the country singer is held hostage after a convenience store that he is working the counter at gets robbed!

However, the thief is not a masked gunman, but instead a beautiful brunette, who takes a liking to Corbin.

The video, a Roman White film, leads the Corbin and "The Vixen" on a police chase that looks more fun than serious, and with a lot of kissing in between.

The video is shot in the style of a movie trailer and is all in fun, as Easton explained in a "Making Of" video that was released earlier this week. Watch it here.

Josh Turner Explains Why His Cottage Is Not A Man Cave

(Radio.com) Josh Turner wrote eight of the twelve tracks on his 2012 release Punching Bag in his hand-build writer's cottage. In an interview with Radio.com he explained just why he won't be calling it his man cave.

"A lot of people call it a man cave but I don't really refer to it as that. It's not a place that I go to hang out with my buddies and all that," he said. "There's no TV in there, there's no phone in there, there's no Wi-Fi."

Turner explained that it's a place he just goes to write and that's where all his music needs are kept. "I built it specifically for the purpose of writing and creating and just being inspired. It's definitely been that place," he said. "Those eight songs that ended up on the record, they were all written right there in the writer's cottage. It was very fulfilling for me because it was a challenge to build this place. It took me two full years to build it from start to finish."

Michael Buble Reveals Wife's Unusual Pregnancy Cravings

(Radio.com) While some women crave pickles during pregnancy, Michael Bublè's wife craves blood…sausages, that is.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, the crooner explained that his wife can't seem to get enough of the delicacy, which is a sausage made of congealed animal blood also known as black pudding. But he adds, this wasn't always the case.

"I promise you she hated it her whole life and now she's like 'Michael, I want some blood sausage,'" Bublè joked.

Real Housewives Star Makes Plea Deal

The daughter of Real Housewives of Orange County star Tammy Knickerbocker has struck a plea deal on a variety of charges related to a driving under the influence arrest last year, according to TMZ.

The site reports that Lindsey Knickerbocker was arrested for a DUI with a blood alcohol level of .32, an alleged multi-car hit and run, as well as punching a police officer.

The reality star offspring has now reportedly struck a plea deal by agreeing to plead no contest to charges of DUI, hit-and-run, and battery on an officer and in exchange the 4th charge for driving with a BAC of .08% or higher has been dropped.

She was sentenced to 3 years probation, 129 hours of community service and a 9-month first offender alcohol program, according to TMZ

Knickerbocker appeared in an early episode of Bravo reality show where her mother encouraged her to go topless for a fashion shoot, reports OC Weekly.

Akon Sued Over Alleged Stage Dive Injury

A concert worker is suing rapper Akon over alleged injuries he sustained when the star landed on him after making a stage dive.

TMZ reports that Matthew Graham filed a lawsuit against Akon where he claims he was working Akon's show at BayFest music festival in Alabama back in 2009 when Akon "negligently or wantonly leapt into the overcrowded mass of concertgoers" and struck him.

Graham claims he sustained severe and permanent injury to his knee, back, head, and body during the incident -- and is now physically disabled.

George Clooney Hug Bombs Ben Affleck At Oscars

(Extra) "Extra's" Mario Lopez was catching up with Ben Affleck on the 2013 Oscars red carpet when their interview was hug bombed!

The two were chatting and out of nowhere George Clooney interrupted for a squeeze. George, who produced Affleck's Best Picture contender "Argo," joked that their beards got velcroed together.

Ben compared being at the Oscars to being at a championship sporting event, "This is the World Series, feels like the Super Bowl, no one's going to put me on a football so team, so this is what I got."

The filmmaker wasn't the only Affleck competing for an award on Sunday. Just a few hours before the Academy Awards, Ben accompanied his daughter Violet to her spelling bee competition -- where she picked up the winning prize.
