Mark Hamill, who portrayed Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, has confirmed that he is in talks to be in Star Wars Episode 7. "They're talking to us," he told Entertainment Tonight. "George [Lucas] wanted to know whether we'd be interested. He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts - they would write us out..." But it isn't a done deal, he continued "I can tell you right away that we haven't signed any contracts. We're in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm. Both have had meetings set that were postponed -- on their end, not mine. They're more busy than I am." He then shared his thoughts about the tone he would like to see in the new films and admitted he has no idea about the plot of the upcoming film. "I probably learn more from Entertainment Tonight than I do directly from Lucasfilm like for instance, when George told us he wanted to do the next trilogy, he didn't tell us it was going to be done for Disney. He saved that little nugget, and I read it online like anybody else." "I said to George that I wanted to go back to the way it was, in the sense that ours was much more carefree and lighthearted and humorous in my opinion, anyway. And another thing I'd want to make sure of is are we going to have the whole gang back? Is Carrie and Harrison and Billy Dee and Tony Daniels, everybody that's around from the original [returning]? I want to make sure that everybody's on board here, rather than just one. I guess I'll have to tune into your show to figure out who's on board." But he does make some guesses about the storyline for his character, read about that here.

(Radio.com) During an exclusive interview with Radio.com, the women of breakout Swedish band Icona Pop talked about what fans can expect from their forthcoming U.S. full-length debut on the heels of the success of the band's hit single, "I Love It.""Our album is gonna be very personal and honest. It's not going to be 15 similar tracks," said Caroline Hjelt on how the album will compare to the high-energy girl-power of "I Love It," which has become a bona fide hit thanks to the song being used in a much-discussed nightclub scene in HBO's controversial and Emmy-winning TV series, Girls. "It's going to be kind of spread, because we've been through this journey," Hjelt continued regarding the band's American debut, due sometime in 2013. "Now we've been writing and traveling the world and inspirations from all over the place. We love galloping drums, synthesizers and bittersweet melodies. For us, it's very important. (Radio.com) Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis are enjoying the success of their debut studio album The Heist, thanks in part to the fifth and final single "Thrift Shop," which shot to number one on nearly every album chart in every country across the planet. What makes the leap into the mainstream all the more satisfying is that the duo's accomplishment was achieved without the help of a major label. Macklemore and Lewis don't stand behind the old punk ethos depicting majors as the enemy, but they do believe in controlling their brand. "Ryan and I were very adamant about not doing a 360 deal," says Macklemore. "Not giving away our merch, not giving away our touring but keeping creative control [and] being able to move when we want to move
I think if it makes sense and we can use some of their resources in the future then
we'll entertain the idea." The creative control and DIY aspects important to the Seattle duo are similar to the ideals championed by grunge bands from the area where they were raised. Despite growing up surrounded by the heavily distorted guitar influence of the Northwest and the stigma associated with disowning it, Macklemore and Lewis abandoned the flannel for a sound over a thousand miles away in Southern California. "I tried to get into it 'cause it was like if you were from Seattle and you weren't into grunge it was like, 'What are you doing with your life?,'" says Macklemore. "But I remember sneaking, listening to Dogg Pound tapes and The Chronic and that was the music I grew up with." Check out the full interview.
