(TMZ) Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G., sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum on the night he was murdered in L.A. back in 1997 ... this according to the never-before-seen autopsy report, just obtained by TMZ. The report confirms Wallace -- who was listed at 6'1", 395 lbs -- was struck a total of 4 times in a drive-by shooting on Wilshire Blvd while the 24-year-old rapper sat in the passenger seat of a Chevy Suburban. According to the report, 3 of the shots were NOT fatal. -- Gunshot #1 struck Wallace in the left forearm and traveled down to his wrist. -- Gunshot #2 struck Wallace in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder. -- Gunshot #3 struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh. The reports says .. after Gunshot #3 exited the thigh, "the projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration." The fatal bullet was Gunshot #4 ... which entered Wallace's body through his right hip and ripped its way through several vital organs ... before coming to rest in his left shoulder area. According to the report, the bullet perforated Wallace's colon, liver, heart and the upper lobe of his left lung. Immediately after the shooting Wallace was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital -- where doctors performed an emergency thoracotomy ... but it was too late. Wallace was pronounced dead at 1:15 AM. According to the report, all 4 of the gunshots traveled through the Suburban passenger door before striking Wallace. Two of the bullets were found on the gurney that transported Wallace to the hospital. Another bullet was discovered at the hospital when the body was turned over after doctors had pronounced him dead. During the autopsy, the coroner listed Wallace as "morbidly obese." A toxicology test revealed Wallace had no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death. Wallace's body was eventually ID'd by his mother and wife. One last thing ... on one of the pages of the autopsy report, there is a note scribbled under the headline "Other Pertinent Information" which reads: "Decedent may be rap singer." Wallace was 24.

Yacht have released a new video for their new single "Second Summer" which was directed by ADHD. The band says of the video: "We've been unabashed fans of ADHD & Ben Jones' work since his days with the art collective Paper Rad and jumped at the opportunity to channel his rare strain of visual damage into Yacht's world. This video represents the ultimate manifestation of our spirit animal, the Smiangle, morphing from an impersonal signifier of mystical subtext into something completely alive, surreal, and psychotropic." Watch it here. And they had this to say about the song:"Second Summer" is a state of mind: overcoming obstacles in order to be close to what you love, a temporal place where sun never goes out no matter what season it is in your hemisphere. Like the original Summer of Love and its acid house revival, the Second Summer of Love, our aim is true: to create environments of total freedom. more on this story

(IDP) Madeleine Peyroux plans to release her new album, The Blue Room, March 19, 2013 on Decca. The album is a return to what she is known best for - reinterpreting songs with an emotion and depth that can't help but touch the soul. The Blue Room features Madeleine reinterpreting songs from Ray Charles' seminal album Modern Sounds In Country & Western Music, as well as others from legendary artists such as Randy Newman and Leonard Cohen, whose legacies are herein enveloped into a similar melting pot of the variety of American popular song. Released in the summer of 1962, Modern Sounds was a daring album for Charles as it broke the mold of what was expected from him, and in turn, truly represented artistic freedom - something that clearly inspires Peyroux's album The Blue Room. Conceived and produced by the legendary Grammy-Award winner Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Herbie Hancock), he says, "Ray's cultural landmark of an album has always been a part of me. I have loved this album ever since I can remember and I knew that Madeleine would be the perfect voice to bring it to the forefront again." more on this story

(TMZ) Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman has filed a lawsuit against NBC over the way it edited his 911 call -- placed moments before Martin was shot -- claiming the network falsely made Zimmerman look like a "hostile racist."You'll recall, NBC launched an internal investigation over the tape after it aired the edited recording -- which made it sound like Zimmerman immediately told police that Martin was black, without being prompted. In actuality, the full 911 tape reveals Zimmerman only referred to Martin as "black" when responding to a question from the dispatcher about Trayvon's race. Zimmerman accuses NBC of creating a "false and defamatory misimpression using the oldest form of yellow journalism: manipulating Zimmerman's own words, splicing together disparate parts of the recording to create the illusion of statements that Zimmerman never actually made." He's suing for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress, demanding unspecified damages. Zimmerman -- a former neighborhood watch coordinator for a gated community in Florida -- fatally shot 17-year-old Martin on February 26th. George has claimed the shooting was in self-defense. more on this story
