(superLOUD) At the end of each X Factor results show, the two acts with the lowest amount of viewer votes are pitted against each other in a sing-off. The four judges (LA Reid, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger) then determine on air who gets sent home. But is the process really that simple? According to one contestant, possibly not.15-year old Astro started his rock-week themed appearance being introduced by LA Reid as one of the most popular contestants. Yet by the end of the night, Astro found himself fighting for survival. Was this because he rapped instead of rocked? Did his fans just forget to vote? Astro doesn't think so, at least not according to his twitter. During the episode, an obviously upset Astro threatened to not perform, saying that he didn't see the point. It was an unusual reaction, but was it just him being a brat? Maybe. The drama didn't end on stage though. Afterwords, Astro hit his twitter account (@astronomicalkid) with a series of interesting remarks. Check them out here.

School Of Seven Bells have set a February 28 release date for their third release, Ghostory, via Vagrant Records/Ghostly International. The album finds the band's lineup has evolved along with the music; formerly a trio, they are now a duo: guitarist/producer Benjamin Curtis and vocalist Alejandra Deheza. Recorded in-between tours, Ghostory exemplifies a fervent progression of School of Seven Bells (SVIIB) growth as artists, preserving the common themes found on their last two releases but exposing them in different fashions. The familiar ethereal and enigmatic tones are omnipresent, surrounded by layers of influences from '80s pop, shoegaze and ambient electronic sounds. However, Ghostory comes with a story in mind; the tale of a young girl named Lafaye and the ghosts that surround her life. more on this story

(TMZ) The world would not have The Situation, Snooki or GTL if it weren't for a guy named Bruce Hulse -- or at least that's what he claims ... in a new lawsuit alleging MTV jacked the idea for "Jersey Shore" after he pitched the show to network execs. Hulse filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month, claiming he and his production company set up a meeting with MTV honchos back in 2006, where he pitched his idea for a show called, "Jersey Shore." In his suit, Hulse claims he even showed execs a video he made which featured, "stereotypical young men and women from New Jersey who were spending their summer in and around the New Jersey shore beaches and cities." Hulse claims MTV "expressed interest" in the project and promised to pay him if they ever went forward with the idea ... but he never heard back and was SHOCKED when "Jersey Shore" premiered on the network in 2009. Hulse is suing for unspecified damages -- probably safe to assume he wants something in the 7-figure range. Calls to MTV were not returned. more on this story
