Justin Bieber and Usher with Jaden Smith plus B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, Lady Antebellum and Muse all have been added to the lineup for the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast.

They join previously announced performers and nominees Arcade Fire, Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, and Katy Perry.

The event will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high definition and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). more on this story

Janet Jackson's "Number Ones: Up Close and Personal Tour" has sold out across North America in record time prompting addition of new tour dates.

The 35 city tour has been making headlines due to this being Janet's largest world tour ever. Janet is the fastest selling single artist performance ticket this year.

American Idol Loses Viewers But Still Enjoys Big Opening

American Idol premiered with its 10th season on Wednesday with an audience of 26.1 million viewers (down 13 percent from last year's premiere).

The Idol folks looks at the possible and offers this contrast, "other US hit TV shows such as Glee peak with an audience of around 11 million."

Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown Tour

(Gibson) Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, Craig Campbell and Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real are among the first acts confirmed to join Willie Nelson for nationwide music tour that starts in Philadelphia on May 27 and runs through July 4.

Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown Tour mixes top country music artists with emerging singer-songwriters in a festival environment. In addition to the seven main artists performing on two stages (a main stage and one side stage), the Bluebird Café Stage will feature six singer-songwriters. Fans will get to see these artists perform intimate "in the round" sets on the Bluebird Café stage throughout the day, as well as nightly performances on a specially designed stage during the main stage set changes. Artists for the Bluebird Café Stage will be announced soon.

Jennifer Hudson Announces New Album

Jennifer Hudson will release her sophomore album "I Remember Me" on March 22 via Arista Records.

The album title, I Remember Me, is based on a poem written by Jennifer and composed into a beautiful song co-written by Ryan Tedder that will be featured on the album. Additional writers and producers on the album include multi-award winners Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Rich Harrison, Ne-Yo and Stargate.

Dierks Bentley To Headline Jagermeister Country Tour

Dierks Bentley will headline the 2011 Jagermeister Country Tour which is set to kick off on March 17.

The 30-city tour runs through mid-May and will feature special guest Josh Thompson and Miss Willie Brown. Each concert will also feature a local Jagermeister sponsored country act.

"It's a good thing we've got a video crew on the road with us capturing everything that goes down," laughed Bentley. Ari Hest Sets New Album Release

Ari Hest has set a March 1st release date for Sunset Over Hope Street, his first full-length album of new material in four years.

"How Would I Know," the first single from the album will impact at radio on January 31st and will be available for sale digitally on February 15th.

Sunset Over Hope Street, is a slight departure from Hest's previous work. Ari expressed his self-challenging nature by taking his guitar parts and seeing if another lead instrument, like a piano, could take the guitar's place. The album is also awash with a variety of string arrangements and unique percussion parts. Also, unlike previous albums, Sunset Over Hope Street was created over a protracted period of time - more than a year. Because of this, Ari was really able to take time, listen back and edit – a luxury that on previous albums had not been afforded him. There were vocals, drums, guitar parts, and even full songs that wound up being scrapped and others added as the album evolved. His patience paid off and the result, despite this different approach, is unmistakably Ari Hest. more on this story

Peter Gabriel Releases Winning Indaba Music Remix

(PR) In May of 2010, Peter Gabriel teamed up with Indaba Music to launch a remix contest in the spirit of his critically acclaimed, non-traditional covers record, Scratch My Back.

Fans were invited to remix Gabriel's 1980 hit "Games Without Frontiers" in whatever form they imagined.

After reviewing submissions from around the world, Gabriel named up-and-coming artist Japan Aircraft (the stage moniker of Steven McKerlie) of Brisbane, Australia as the winner of the competition in August of 2010. Interestingly, McKerlie plies his trade as a bridge design engineer by day and musician as a hobby. more on this story

Happy Nashville Anniversary to Diana's Sweet Shoppe

(Gibson) It's been a year since the Honorable Mayor Karl Dean and country superstar Big Kenny of Big & Rich performed the honors at the Grand Opening of historic Diana's Sweet Shoppe in Nashville.

Originally located in Port Huron, Michigan, the historic sweet shop was transported in panels from its original location in Port Huron, Michigan to downtown Nashville at 318 Broadway, next door to Hatch Show Print. Rich in musical history and famed for its delicious homemade confections, Diana's Sweet Shoppe operated in Port Huron from 1926 to 2001, becoming known statewide for its sundaes, candies and fudge.

Gibson Guitar acquired all assets of Diana's when the store closed in 2001. The company made a commitment to capture and preserve all of its history, from the original walls built in 1926 to the original Mills Company Violano Virtuoso. more on this story
