(TMZ) The nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization is FURIOUS with Vinny from "Jersey Shore" -- claiming the lyrics about rape in his new rap song are "ignorant" and "send a dangerous message to the public."As we previously reported, Vinny posted the new song on his YouTube page -- in which he raps about having sex with a stripper and "actin like I'm raping it." Now, a rep for the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) -- tells us, "The lyrics in Vinny Guadagnino's new rap song that glorify rape are ignorant. Trivializing this violent crime sends a dangerous message to the public." "Use of the term 'actin' like' doesn't mitigate the harm this crime has on survivors of sexual violence." The rep adds, "We hope that Mr. Guadagnino will reconsider his stand on this issue and leverage his platform to reinforce a zero tolerance policy for sexual violence, as he has with bullying." For what it's worth, Vinny has since pulled the video … and tweeted ... "Whoa! Some people really know how to take things out of context ! ... It was fun though!" more on this story

(TMZ) Conrad Murray doesn't regret for a second doing the documentary that infuriated Judge Michael Pastor, because he wanted the public to hear his side of the story.Murray -- who declined to testify in his trial -- spoke with friends and family after the sentence. We're told Murray said he knew he was going to get the maximum sentence, so it didn't bother him that he became Judge Michael Pastor's human punching bag over the things he said in the documentary -- in particular, trashing Michael Jackson and not accepting any blame for his death. And we know more about Murray's reaction to the sentence. He's saying he's "surprisingly upbeat" about the sentence, telling one friend, "I'm just relieved it's finally over," adding, "Don't worry, I'm fine, and I'll be out soon." more on this story

Rounder has set a January 31, 2012 release date for Tony Rice's The Bill Monroe Collection, which contains 15 years of influential bluegrass guitarist Rice's interpretations of songs by "The Father of Bluegrass Music."Here is the official word: (Conqueroo)Over the past year's Bill Monroe Centennial there have been numerous anthologies of various artists doing their versions of his music, restating the enormity of Bill Monroe's legacy on the entire field of bluegrass music. Tony Rice's The Bill Monroe Collection, due out on Rounder Records (division of Concord Music Group) on January 31, 2012, may have a somewhat different impact, in part because it is a collection by one artist only, recorded over a period of some 15 years. The material, consisting of major songs and instrumentals by Monroe, was recorded in a variety of band configurations over these years, allowing guitarist Rice to make his own unmistakable mark on bluegrass music. Though Tony Rice grew up exposed to a fairly broad range of music, as did Monroe himself, he primarily "grew up" in bluegrass. Unlike the mentoring that happens to young bluegrass virtuoso instrumentalists of today, Rice's early influences were arguably deeper, as there were fewer of them. more on this story
