New Edition Singer Calls Off Twitter War

(TMZ) New Edition singer Johnny Gill has buried the hatchet with the woman who sued him for calling her "f**king nuts" and "deranged" on Twitter -- and now the two are actually working together again.

TMZ has learned ... Ira DeWitt -- CEO of Notifi records -- has agreed to drop her lawsuit in which she claimed Gill damaged her reputation when he tweeted that she was responsible for leaking an unfinished single from his upcoming album. He also called her some unflattering names.

DeWitt -- who's producing Gill's album -- tells us .. "I'm very happy to put this dispute behind us and I'm confident that [Gill's] loyal fans will be thrilled with the final product."

Gill -- who agreed to go back on Twitter and express regret over the situation -- says, "I'm elated to continue this journey that I've started with Ira and Notifi Records."

He adds, "Through conflict we found a resolution, and not to mention I've found my friend again." more on this story

Jada Pinkett Smith and Marc Anthony Romance Rumor Debunked

(TMZ) Multiple members of the crew that work on "HawthoRNe" tell TMZ ... it was clear to everyone that Jada Pinkett Smith and Marc Anthony were not intimate on the set.

The crew members we spoke with say ... they never saw anything inappropriate occur on the set. They add ... it seemed as if Jada and Marc went out of their way to squelch rumors. They would never run their lines together in their trailers but rather would do it out in the open, with an acting coach present.

And 3 crew members noted that Will Smith would sometimes come to the set while Jada was filming and, as one of them put it, "It looked like they were on their honeymoon." No one we spoke with saw any conflict between the two. more on this story

Jaime Pressly Not Going To Jail

(TMZ) Jaime Pressly won't get any jail time for her recent DUI arrest -- when she registered a blood alcohol level of nearly THREE TIMES the legal limit -- because she just struck a sweet deal with prosecutors.

TMZ broke the story -- Jaime was arrested for DUI back in January after blowing a .22 ... and in case you didn't know, the legal limit in Cali is .08.

The "My Name Is Earl" star was charged with two counts of DUI -- driving under the influence, and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.

But according to court personnel, the first count was dropped after striking a deal with prosecutors -- and Jaime pled "no contest" today to the second ... in exchange for three years probation.

Had she not struck the deal, Jaime could have faced as many as six months in jail. more on this story

The Blind Boys of Alabama Fall Tour

(Webster) The Blind Boys of Alabama will embark on an extensive North American concert tour this fall.

Sara and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek will open many shows on the tour, and will also collaborate with the Blind Boys on select songs from their latest album, Take the High Road.

Sara Watkins and the Blind Boys first performed together last year at a series of sold-out shows by the Blind Boys at New York City's Lincoln Center, and both artists felt a musical connection that they wanted to build on. "I have been a fan of the Blind Boys of Alabama since I first heard them 15 or 20 years ago, but I'll never forget the first time I found myself on stage singing with them. Taylor Finally Meets With Coroner About Russell Armstrong's Suicide

(TMZ) TMZ has learned the L.A. County Coroner just paid a visit to Taylor Armstrong to find out what she knows about Russell Armstrong's suicide, and the trip was necessary because Taylor has not made herself available for more than a week.

Sources tell TMZ ... The Coroner's office wanted the meeting because Taylor was at the scene of Russell's suicide when his body was discovered nearly 2 weeks ago. Investigators were not able to speak with Taylor that day because she left before they arrived.

L.A. County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter met with Taylor at home for a half hour and discussed, among other things, Russell's state of mind in the weeks leading up to his death, his drug use and whether he was under a doctor's care. more on this story

Montel Williams Vs Salahis

(TMZ) Montel Williams is threatening legal action against no one's favorite couple -- Michaele and Tareq Salahi -- accusing them of using his name to promote an upcoming event.

The Salahis are planning a charitable event next month to celebrate the reopening of their Oasis Winery in Virginia -- and, apparently, they've listed Montel as one of their celebrity guests.

That's news to Montel -- because his rep tells TMZ, "Montel doesn't support the Salahis, doesn't know them and did not give them permission to use his name." He says the event organizers also, falsely, announced that Montel's MS Foundation is involved

The rep says a cease and desist letter was fired off to the Salahis today -- demanding they stop using Montel's name and foundation -- and we're told both have since been removed from the website promoting the event.

The Salahis are pleading ignorance (shocker) ... telling TMZ they had no knowledge Montel's name was on the site. more on this story

Little House on the Prairie Star Files for Divorce

(TMZ) Six months after they separated, "Little House on the Prairie" actress Melissa Gilbert has filed for divorce from actor Bruce Boxleitner ... TMZ has learned.

According to documents filed with L.A. County Superior Court, Gilbert blamed the split on irreconcilable differences ... and she's asking for joint legal and physical custody of their son Michael.

Melissa and Bruce married in 1995 ... but separated back in March. They have one child together ... and each have adult children from previous marriages. more on this story

Child Sex Allegations for Reality TV Judge

(TMZ) Former "America's Best Dance Crew" judge Shane Sparks allegedly sexually abused at least 6 young girls IN ADDITION to the woman who claims Sparks raped her when she was 12 years old ... this according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The documents were just made public ... following a plea deal Sparks made with the L.A. County District Attorney in which he received 270 days in jail after pleading no contest to having unlawful sex with a minor under 16.

The allegations in the documents are extremely disturbing -- with the victim telling police Sparks forced her to have sex with him after driving her home from a dance class he had taught in 1994 when she was only 12 years old. more on this story

Far East Movement Forced To Hitchhike In The Middle of Nowhere

(TMZ) The Far East Movement probably wished they had a G6 yesterday -- when their tour bus broke down in the middle of the New Mexico desert ... and they had to HITCHHIKE their way back to civilization.

A rep for the band tells us the guys were traveling from Missouri to Phoenix when their bus died ... stranding them 50 miles away from the nearest taxi service ... which refused to send a car that far.

We're told the band decided their only option was to try and hitchhike to Albuquerque and catch a flight to Phoenix -- and fortunately for them ... an angel in a Chevy Silverado came to the rescue.

After loading up their stuff in the bed and piling in the extended cab -- the band hooked up their savior with $200 in cash, tickets to Lil Wayne's "I Am Still Music" tour and even took a picture with the woman -- so she could prove the whole event to her kids.

F.E.M. got to the airport just in time for the flight -- but as soon as they sat in their seats, a MASSIVE hail storm broke out -- grounding the plane for hours.

But the story has a happy ending ... because the band EVENTUALLY got to Phoenix -- and they're back on schedule ... ready to perform in Irvine, CA tomorrow ... if they actually manage to get there. more on this story

Michael Jackson Death Prosecutors Want To Block Molestation Testimony

(TMZ) Prosecutors in the Dr. Conrad Murray manslaughter case want to block all testimony related to allegations that Michael Jackson molested children.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ ... prosecutors want Judge Michael Pastor to bar Steve Robel -- a key Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigator in the 2005 MJ molestation trial -- from testifying in Murray's defense. Robel is on the defense witness list.

In fact, prosecutors want all references to alleged molestation barred from Murray's trial, on grounds it has nothing to do with MJ's death and would merely inflame the jury.

And, prosecutors have also asked the judge to block the testimony of a number of doctors who treated Michael Jackson but were not involved in caring for MJ on the day of his death. This is a huge motion that could have a profound impact on the case. As TMZ first reported, the defense will argue that dozens of doctors had addicted MJ to prescription meds -- including Propofol -- and they are largely responsible for the condition Michael was in the day he died.

DMX To Sue Over Arrest?

(TMZ) DMX claims Arizona police had NO RIGHT hauling him into jail yesterday -- insisting there is NO POSSIBLE WAY he was driving more than 100 miles per hour ... and now he's ready to sue the cops!

X -- who was allegedly going 102 mph in a 65 zone -- tells TMZ, "I was going 85 miles per hour ... I know for a fact I didn't go more than 90."

X adds, "I'm used to driving fast, I'm a New Yorker ... but I constantly look at the speedometer when I'm driving ... I need to make sure I don't drive too fast."

The rapper says he knows he was technically speeding, but he feels the cops abused their authority by putting him behind bars ... even though his rap sheet takes longer to read than "War and Peace."

"I plan on suing ... and I plan on suing for harassment," DMX says ... adding, "I'm in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed." more on this story

Lindsay Lohan Vs Pitbull Round 2

(TMZ) Pitbull's not getting out of Lindsay Lohan's legal doghouse -- because she's blowing off his apology for using her name in a song ... and rejecting his invitation to the MTV VMAs.

Lilo recently sued Pit because his song "Give Me Everything" includes a lyric she feels disparages her name.

On Wednesday, Pitbull taped an apology ... claiming he meant no harm, and invited Lindsay to join him at the VMAs this weekend -- where he's scheduled to perform the song.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us she has no interest in going to the VMAs -- and Pitbull's apology has no impact on the lawsuit ... it's moving forward.

(Webster) According to Billboard, Kenny Rogers' 28 Adult Contemporary Top 10's are sixth-best all-time, and fourth-best among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley.

Kenny Rogers' feats on the AC chart include 47 hits, tying him with Barry Manilow for seventh-most in the chart's history. No core country artist has crossed over more titles to AC. Rogers has scored eight AC No. 1s.

Rogers: "I remember when [the AC charts] were established, I thought it was so cool. I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though "Coward of the County," "Daytime Friends," "Buy Me a Rose," "The Gambler," those kinds of things, were truly country records. Charlie Sheen Moving Denise Richards Close To His Home

(TMZ) Charlie Sheen truly believes in one BIG happy family, because TMZ has learned he's moving Denise Richards into a home a stone's throw from where he lives.

Denise is moving into the home Charlie purchased earlier this year from movie mogul Mike Medavoy, located 6 houses down from where Charlie lives, in the same gated community.

Our sources say Charlie and Denise are now getting along reasonably well, and Charlie's primary motivation is that he wants to spend more time with their two kids. Some of Denise's stuff has already been moved in, and we're told she and the kids will begin living there in a week or so.

But it doesn't end there. We've also learned ... Charlie is looking to purchase a third home in his gated community for Brooke Mueller and the twins.

Lenny Dykstra Charged With Indecent Exposure

(TMZ) More trouble for Lenny Dykstra -- this time the troubled baseball great has been charged with indecent exposure for allegedly whipping out his dong for women he met on Craigslist.

According to the L.A. City Attorney, Lenny allegedly went to Craigslist and posted ads for a personal assistant or housekeeping services ... but when the women arrived, Dykstra would "inform the women that the job also required them to give a massage and would expose himself to them."

Officials say Dykstra pulled the XXX bait and switch at least 6 times. If convicted, Dykstra -- who's already in custody in L.A. on a MYRIAD of federal and state charges for allegedly doing all sorts of other bad stuff -- could face even more jail time.

An arraignment is scheduled for September 7. more on this story
