Nettwerk have set a September 20th release date for Ivy's new album, All Hours, and the group is currently giving fans a preview of the effort with an online sample featuring three songs from the effort. You can check out the three song sampler from "All Hours" on their Soundcloud that shows both the progress and the range of the new record. (Gibson) Before he had an airport named after him, before he was on a postage stamp, before he became a universally celebrated star, before he recorded dozens of hits, before he changed the course of jazz and popular music, before he ever picked up a trumpet or a cornet, Louis Armstrong had a hard-scrabble upbringing in his beloved hometown of New Orleans.Throughout his life, Armstrong would claim he was born on July 4 – but baptismal records discovered in the 1980s proved he was off by one year and one month. The jazz pioneer and music legend was born on this day (August 4) in 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to a very poor family. He was the grandson of people who had been slaves in the American South. He grew up in a poverty-stricken area of Uptown, often called "Back of Town." Not long after Louis was born, his father, William Armstrong, left his mother for another woman. A few years later, his mother Mary "Maryann" Albert, entrusted Louis and his younger half-sister Beatrice to their grandmother, Josephine Armstrong. By the time he was 5, he was back living with his mother and her relatives, and he only saw his father when he was in New Orleans parades. more on this story

Behind The Music: Adam Lambert is set to premiere this Sunday, August 7 at 10 PM ET/PT on VH1. The network sent over some quotes:"I think I'm a result of all the things I love about music. I love rock and roll. I love that bombastic approach to vocals and sexuality. And I love the production style of electronic music. I love all that. I like artists that take risks and that don't want to blend in. That's the kind of person that I am and that's the kind of artist that I am." – Adam Lambert, on his career "I think when I was in about sixth grade, that's when I first realized that I was probably not the same as the other boys. And, you know, it was a weird discovery and of course, I was kind of in denial for a while and it was all in my own head. And to me it was a deep secret. I was just not ready to talk about it with anybody. And I didn't know how my parent's would react and I didn't know what that would be like and I think at that age it was something that I was ashamed of, because it was so different. And [it] wasn't the norm and not encouraged and no one talks about that in school and that's one of the things that's so hard about being a young person and realizing that you're gay, or bi, or whatever. We're not told that that's okay." – Adam Lambert, on realizing he was different more on this story
