Lady Antebellum Making Progress On New Album
(Gibson) Following the success of the blockbuster 2010 album, Need You Now, is no small task for Nashville hit-makers Lady Antebellum. Powered by the single "I Run to You" and the hit title track, Need You Now topped charts all over the world and garnered a boatload of awards. Nevertheless, the trio of Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott are hard at work on a follow-up.

Kelley told Undercover.fm, "We're a little over halfway done right now and we're excited to get some new music out there. Again, we're just trying to keep our heads down and not over-think this thing. With the success of Need You Now, everyone keeps asking us, 'How are you going to follow that up?' – and I don't know how to answer that. You just go in there and do what you do and hopefully it'll be received well."

According to Kelley, the important thing is to make music the band can take pride in. "It'll be hard to match the same success as that," he said. "I think we just try and keep that in perspective and just keep making music that we're proud of and it'll take whatever course it's going to take." more on this story

Jeff Bridges Working With T-Bone Burnett On His Major Label Debut
(EMI) Jeff Bridges has signed a recording deal with EMI's Blue Note Records, which will release his major-label debut album in late summer.

Inspired by their collaboration on Crazy Heart, Bridges has chosen to record the album with his long-time friend, the multiple-Grammy Award-winning songwriter, musician, and producer T-Bone Burnett, who is known for his work with Allison Krauss and Robert Plant, Elton John and Leon Russell, and the Grammy-winning soundtracks to O Brother, Where Are Thou? and Walk the Line.

Bridges and Burnett met more than 30 years ago when Kris Kristofferson introduced them during the filming of the 1980 motion picture Heaven's Gate. The relationship has continued over the years as Burnett selected the songs that appeared on the soundtrack to the 1998 film The Big Lebowski, starring Bridges, as well as co-writing several songs for the soundtrack to Crazy Heart, including "The Weary Kind," which earned Burnett his second Oscar nomination and first win (along with songwriter Ryan Bingham) for "Best Original Song." more on this story

Jersey Shore Headed To Florence
(TMZ) The cast of "Jersey Shore" will be fist-pumping their brains out in Florence, Italy for Season 4 ... TMZ has confirmed ... because the capital of Tuscany is the youngest, coolest city in the Boot.

Sources intimately familiar with production tell TMZ, Florence was chosen because "it's young, walkable, fashionable, and beautiful in springtime" ... and, BTW, riddled with alcohol-guzzling clubgoers.

But we're told the cast ain't doing the city like your average tourists -- according to sources, they won't be living at a normal house ... or a normal hotel ... but our sources are mum on exactly where they will be staying. more on this story

The album's deluxe edition includes a DVD featuring six performances with interviews. The video for "Goodnight Old World," has already made the Top 5 at CMT.

Hard Bargain features 11 original Harris songs. Harris wrote "Darlin' Kate" in tribute to her friend, the late singer-songwriter Kate McGarrigle. She also remembers her relationship with country rock legend Gram Parsons in "The Road" saying: "I really just told that story the way I see it in my mind, the brief time we had and how I couldn't imagine that Gram wouldn't be around forever. Life goes on and unfolds before you, but those people and those events that change you forever are always with you. It was an important event that determined the trajectory of my life and, more than anything, of my work." more on this story

Judge Denies Charlie Sheen
(TMZ) The judge in the Charlie Sheen/Brooke Mueller custody war did not award Charlie full custody because of Charlie's checkered past. Sources familiar with the case tell TMZ ... Judge Hank Goldberg was well aware Brooke had relapsed into drug use, but the judge was equally disturbed by Charlie's substance abuse and the fact that he bragged about it.

TMZ broke the story ... the judge denied Charlie's request to strip Brooke of custody and award him full legal and physical custody of twins Bob and Max. Judge Goldberg kept the status quo, ruling the custody agreement Charlie and Brooke struck last month will remain in effect.

Judge Goldberg also felt Charlie's parenting skills -- or lack thereof -- did not warrant a change. And, we're told, Brooke's lawyers raised issues of prior domestic violence on Charlie's part, though there were no fresh allegations. more on this story
