Tim McGraw has announced a new double disc Number One Hits set as well as two acting roles. Here is the official word: On November 30th, Curb Records will release, Number One Hits, a two-disc set featuring 22 of Tim McGraw's chart-topping singles. The collection will also feature two bonus tracks - a dance mix of his 1994 hit, "Indian Outlaw," and "Felt Good on My Lips," McGraw's latest single. He also continues to go Hollywood: McGraw co-stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester in Country Strong. The film, which was written and directed by Shana Feste (The Greatest), will be released in theatres nationwide on January 7th, 2011.

Indigo Girls released their first holiday record, specially packaged in holiday wrapping (and containing three surprise ornaments packed inside), yesterday on IG Recordings/Vanguard Records. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Peter Collins, the album's arrangements have a down-home feel and reflect both the Girls' Southern roots and their love of Appalachian and bluegrass music. The band, all amazing players, includes Alison Brown on banjo, Victor Krauss on bass, Luke Bulla on fiddle, mandolin and guitar, Jim Brock on percussion, and Lloyd Maines on dobro and pedal steel.

Corinne Bailey Rae has released her take on the classic Bob Marley song, "Is This Love." The track is available beginning today at all digital retailers. Bailey Rae will perform "Is This Love" on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday, October 28th, and KCRW will present her live in concert at The Avalon Hollywood that same evening. Bailey Rae has also contributed a cover of the Donny Hathaway song "This Christmas" to the Starbucks Christmas compilation Sleigh Ride, due out in November.
