Eminem and Jay-Z Team For Stadium Shows

In a rare co-headlining concert pairing, Jay-Z and Eminem will share a stage with each headlining in his own hometown -- Eminem at Detroit's Comerica Park and Jay-Z at New York's Yankee Stadium.

The Detroit show is set for Thursday, September 2 and the New York performance is scheduled for Monday, September 13. JAY-Z and Eminem made an appearance together Wednesday tonight at Comerica Park, where the Tigers hosted the Yankees, to announce the shows.

"This is a once in a lifetime set of shows and I know we're both really going to bring it to our home towns," said EMINEM. "The fans are going to love this--and so am I. It's gonna be historic." - more on this story

Classic Jackson 5 Live Recordings Being Released

40 year-old Jackson 5 Live recordings that were discovered in Motown Vault will be coming to CD next month. Here is the announcement:

The Jackson 5: J5 Live @ The Forum is a new 2-CD set released June 22 that uncovers an amazing chapter from the phenomenal career of Michael Jackson and his brothers in the J5: their extraordinary performances from the Los Angeles Forum, recorded in June 1970 and August 1972—the first at the start of their rapid ascent to stardom, the second when they became established icons. These brilliant shows have not been released in any form until now, the 40th anniversary of the 1970 show.

J5 Live @ The Forum features earth-shaking live performances of the group's best-known hits – "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save," "I'll Be There," "Never Can Say Goodbye" and more. Single B-sides "I Found That Girl" and "I'm So Happy" and such surprises as album cuts "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Zip A Dee Do Dah," plus songs not released by the J5, including covers of James Brown's "There Was a Time" and the Isley Brothers' "It's Your Thing," are part of the shows. While not drumming for Hot Chip, Rob Smoughton moonlights as Grovesnor, blending silky vocals with retro synth melodies. In anticipation of the May 25th release of his Lo Recordings solo debut Soft Return, Grovesnor is releasing a remix of his first single off Soft Return, "Taxi From The Airport"

Remixed by Parisian "synth magician" dÉbruit and featured exclusively on Filter, the track begins by piling milky harmonies on a half time, handclap-heavy beat. Where the original version conjures visions of a giddy taxi ride back from the airport, the remix is reminiscent of riding in a taxi after taking the red-eye, dawn beginning to break.

Xavier Rudd Announces U.S. Tour Including Dates with Rodrigo y Gabriela

Xavier Rudd is set to launch a U.S. tour in support of his new album, Koonyum Sun. The album is his first recording with South African rhythm section comprised of Tio Moloantoa on Bass and Andile Nqubezelo, formerly of the late Lucky Dube's band.

Rudd, known for his must-be-seen-to-be-believed live show—where he often performs as a one-man band—will give North American audiences a chance to experience the new lineup live beginning August 13th. Xavier and Izintaba will join dueling guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela for six dates in August.

Xavier, Tio and Andile formed a bond in the summer of 2008 at Austria's Nuke festival. Their relationship—like their musical tastes—reflects a passion for unifying culture, sound and understanding. The Big Pink Spinning New Video Online

(AOL Music) The Big Pink have unveiled the video for their new song, 'Tonight,' a version of the track on the band's debut album, 'A Brief History of Love.'

It's the fifth single from the London-based electro-rock outfit and is backed by a version of Beyonce's 'Sweet Dreams.' The video was cut from footage filmed at a clutch of the band's recent live shows.

"I was with them on tour for a while looking to do a bigger project with some tour and live material mixed into something else perhaps with some narrative," director Rob Hawkins tells Spinner. "With this video as they have such a heavy tour schedule they had to put together a live video of some of the sets i had shot. As Oddisee of celebrated group Diamond District busies himself with a west coast tour, he is also getting ready to release the fourth and final installment of his season-themed series, Odd Spring via Mello Music Group.

His first season-themed EP, Odd Summer, dropped in May 2009 starting Oddisee's way into his "Odd Seasons" series creating a large fan base for the producer/emcee. As he went through the seasons and the year, the unique concept of the series became more apparent to anyone listening.
