Lady GaGa's team "is deep into the process of renegotiating the contract of the breakout artist with Interscope," so HITS Daily Double reported. Suggestion for contract renewal apparently was offered by GaGa's team to the label after learning that she has become "a major windfall" for Interscope. moreMichael Jackson's video for his hit single "Thriller" has been voted the most influential in pop music history, according to the results of a poll released on Monday. The survey, commissioned by MySpace, interviewed a vast pool of 1,000 music fans and made them vote from preselected videos. more Usher has accused TV talent shows of killing the music industry. Just weeks after the singer appeared as a mentor on the current season of "American Idol", Usher has blasted the show and its rivals for making talented singers celebrities and then casting them aside. He says, "The true art form of music is being lost, because it seems so easy that everyone can do it, and that it can happen overnight. Television is a lie. It can't happen overnight. 3OH!3 has revealed early details of their new album. "Streets Of Gold" arrives in stores and at all DSPs on June 29th.The album which follows the Boulder, Colorado-based duo's breakthrough Photo Finish debut, "Want" will be preceded by the single, "My First Kiss (Feat. Mogwai has joined forces with Vincent Moon and Nathanael le Scouarnec, the masterminds behind La Blogotheque's Take-Away Shows, to release a mesmerizing project in late August 2010. This creative collaboration is a CD/DVD release of the concert film Burning, and live album Special Moves. With Mogwai and La Blogotheque in the mix, you know that this will not be a typical concert DVD, as the soundscape and cinematic direction rival that of any art-house film. Taylor Swift can now add COVERGIRL to her list resume. Spike TV announced today the fourth annual "Guys Choice," a one-night-only event for guys where the year's most hotly debated rivalries from the world of sports, comedy, film and more go up against one another mano-a-mano with original categories that embody everything that matters in "guydom." The two-hour event pays homage to the things guys love most superstar athletes, the ladies we love, hilarious comedic performances and legendary rockers. Scheduled to tape Saturday, June 5 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, "Guys Choice" premieres Sunday, June 20 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT) on Spike TV. Last year's "Guys Choice" honorees, nominees and participants included: Clint Eastwood, Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Ben Stiller, Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., Eddie Van Halen, Quentin Tarantino, Dwyane Wade and Megan Fox. This year's event will honor, among other greats, the comedic genius of Chris Rock and bestow him with the title of "Funniest M.F." Recoil Selected, a brand new selection of classic Recoil tracks will be released on June 8th, 2010. The track listing has been chosen by Alan Wilder who explains: "The collection is made up of my personal favourites, remastered and edited together into what I consider a cohesive and total listening experience." Recoil Selected will be be released as a physical double pack CD featuring a second disc including many new remixes and alternative versions, chosen and edited together by Alan Wilder and Paul Kendall, who has worked with Wilder for the past 10 years. The album features a varied selection of vocalists including Diamanda Galαs, Joe Richardson, Douglas McCarthy, Samantha Coerbell, Toni Halliday and Maggie Estep. Recoil Selected will be available as both a 1cd and 2cd digital download. In support of the album, Recoil has announced details of an Events tour, A Strange Hour with Alan Wilder & Paul Kendall, with dates across Europe and in the US between March & May. Each date promises to be a unique event with special guests - and these live presentations mark the first time Recoil has ventured out of the studio.

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Mark McAdam is proud to release his third solo album, "Paper Man Songs", a unique collection of material written in and around the perspectives of the characters featured in the recently released independent comedy, Paper Man (starring Jeff Daniels, Ryan Reynolds, & Lisa Kudrow). With stories so aptly linked to the film, a number of the songs found their way into the final cut.
