Kelis Acapella Hit
Kelis tops Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart again, taking "Acapella," the lead single from her forthcoming album, Flesh Tone, to No. 1 this week. Her hit "Milkshake" topped the same chart in 2003 and sold over 1.2 million digital singles. Flesh Tone, which Billboard singled out as one of 2010's "Best Bets," will be released this spring by will.i.am Music Group/Interscope Records.

People selected the new single for its "Hot Downloads" column, noting: "Kelis brings her milkshake back with 'Acapella,' a frenetic techno groove from her forthcoming disc, Flesh Tone." "The 'Milkshake' temptress returns with another tall glass of delicious - and this disco-tipped track from her upcoming album is a feathery dance-floor delight," said Entertainment Weekly, placing "Acapella" on "The MustList" while accesshollywood.com said, "this track is the Jam.com!"

The single - produced by David Guetta (producer of The Black Eyed Peas hit single "I GOTTA FEELING") - is available on the iTunes Store, at Kelis' website (www.iamkelis.com), where fans can stream it first, and at www.masterbeat.com. Sherecently shot the video for "Acapella" in Los Angeles with the director team of Chris Cottam and Rankin.

Kam Moye Releases Splitting Image Video
Kam Moye, formerly Supastition, is proud to announce the release of his latest video, "Splitting Image". Produced by Symbolyc One, and shot and directed by Matt Koza, whose credits include Little Brother, RJD2, and Kam's own "Let's Be Honest," the video depicts a story about life's choices forcing growth and gaining knowledge. Apparent throughout the video, Kam's name change is more than just cosmetic - the "splitting image" also refers to a distinct change lyrically towards a wiser persona with a great deal of life experience and perspective.

The breathy and angelic vocal stylings of Neenah complement the setting of the video and serve to balance Kam's confident and poised rhymes. Standing amidst a barren backdrop, Kam delivers a powerful message and challenges listeners to not only "grow older" but to also "grow" as individuals.

Kam Moye explains, "I wanted it to document my real life story of becoming a father at 16 and show the pressure I was facing at the time. I couldn't even take care of myself when I brought my daughter into the world." He continues, "It's a way of showing younger people that your life isn't over when you make a bad decision but it means you've got to work twice as hard at your dreams. Hopefully someone will feel inspired by it." By juxtaposing Kam's verbals with visuals of a teenager's unplanned circumstances, the video makes good on its promise of hope and resilience. Kam Moye raps, "It's hard to backtrack, start a new beginning. / So starting today I'm vowing to make a new ending. / They say a new you is hard to rebuild / But keeping some personal flaws are just part of the deal."

Ninjasonik Set Debut Album Release
Brooklyn's Ninjasonik are taking their self-sustained, militant buzz off the streets and translating it onto wax for their long awaited debut album this spring.

Beginning as an art concept record and a time capsule of their almost 18 months together, "Art School Girls" features guest appearances from Matt and Kim, Team Robespierre, and Vivian Girls.

It's obviously not the normal collaborative line-up for what many could misconstrue as a hip-hop record, but a "cultural fusion" says emcee Telli. "I don't think sound has been merged like what we do. I'm a rapper, Jah's a punk, and Teenwolf's a musicologist." Ninjasonik is unleashing this raw and uncut synthesis of styles with their "Art School Girls" full length VIA Green Owl / Chief Records due April 20th, 2010. Green Owl is a label that is ahead of the game in itself by respecting the planet both economically and environmentally through sustainable technology, news, and information.

The 5 Browns Go Hollywood
E1 Music has announced April 6, 2010 as the release date for The 5 Browns In Hollywood, the new classical CD by virtuosic piano prodigies and siblings, The 5 Browns. Alongside the new release, continuation of their extensive national tour will begin on April 8, 2010 in Kirksville, MO and plays nationwide throughout the spring.

Inspired by some of Hollywood's leading films and scores, THE 5 BROWNS IN HOLLYWOOD meshes the worlds of classical music and cinema with arrangements representing a diverse collection of world famous films that range from classics such as The Wizard of Oz, To Kill a Mockingbird and Psycho, to the more recent Atonement, The Hours, and Catch Me If You Can. A full track list is below.

THE 5 BROWNS IN HOLLYWOOD includes works by renowned composers Bernard Herrmann, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers, Alan Menken and Philip Glass, among others. Whether they take on Psycho from the Herrmann/Hitchcock medley in a relentlessly driving, heavily dissonant piece that sets nerves on end or Dario Marianelli's work in Atonement where the score excerpts open and close with the slow, sad music associated with the tragic love affair between an aristocratic Englishwoman and a commoner, The 5 Browns dazzle with their complex compositions. - more on this story
