Catchy Songs in Country
The Oak Ridge Boys' classic "Elvira" was named the catchiest song in country music by AOL Music's "The Boot" with the lyric, "Elvira, Elvira/My Heart's on fire, Elvira/Giddy up, oom-poppa-oom-poppa-mow-mow".

Lead singer Duane Allen comments, "When I opened up my AOL account, one of the headline stories for the day was about the 10 catchiest songs in country music history, I followed the link and started to read the top 10.

"I started at 10 and wondered what would be next as I scrolled down the page. I was thinking that we would not have a song on there, then at #1 was our huge hit Elvira. You could hear me screaming all the way from Oklahoma. Thanks to Dallas Frazier for writing such a song that bought us all a new house, and a new car."

The Delta Mirror Summer Tour
The Delta Mirror are hitting the road this week in support of their album Machines That Listen, which was released by Lefse Records in April.

Alongside bands like The Big Pink and F**k Buttons, The Delta Mirror sees the things that made our past relationships work and brings them together creating the ideal love. Craig Gordon and David Bolt started out as a hip hop two piece in the late 90's and have been writing music in some form ever since.

With the addition of Karrie K on bass, their sound has progressed to an ambient mix of shoegazy guitar and gothic vocals, but their production has held onto the same boom bap button pushing they started with. - more on this story
