Australian police Monday shut down a concert by Justin Bieber over crowd safety fears after young fans were injured in surges hours before the free event was due to start. According to the rapper, his duet with the Disney star will be performed in an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and the collaborative project came unexpectedly. more In the midst of her 27-date European tour, Rihanna suffered an injured rib that required a brief trip to an emergency room in Switzerland. The injury took place during Monday's show in Zurich. Following the performance, Rihanna was taken to a private clinic. "[She] had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn't," the 22-year-old singer's rep said. more Grace Jones confirms to the Guardian that she was approached to play with Lady Gaga and explains why she took a pass. When asked is Gaga approached her for a collaboration, Jones responded, "Yes, she did, but I said no. I'd just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually." When asked directly if Lady Gaga copies her, Jones responded, "Well, you know, I've seen some things she's worn that I've worn, and that does kind of piss me off." The Black Keys will support their new album, Brothers (out May 18 on Nonesuch Records) with a summer tour that kicked off June 2 in Salt Lake City. The tour will include a newly added second show at Central Park's SummerStage on July 28 that follows the band's July 27 performance, which quickly sold out. Brothers arrives on the heels of three other acclaimed projects the band released in the past year: Dan Auerbach's solo effort, Keep It Hid, the debut LP from Patrick Carney's band Drummer, and Blakroc, a collaboration between The Black Keys and renowned MCs including RZA, Mos Def, Q-Tip, and Raekwon.

The Glee cast's Madonna mini album sold 98,000 copies lasits opening week.Now with Madonna covered, gleeks won't have to wait long to even more music. Columbia Record is striking while the iron is hot and announced the May 18th release of Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers. According to the press release, it will be available in both standard and deluxe versions, Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers will feature tunes from the second half of the show's first season.
