The left coast comes correct in Jern Eye's new video for Bay Area anthem "Cali." The song features Jern, along with veteran emcee Spank Pops and star on the rise J. Billion, riding the waves of an infectious Jake One beat and trading verses bursting with hometown pride. Now, director Lorezno Escalante, also one of the visionaries behind Jern's "Beautiful" video, brings the neck-snapper to life. "We filmed 'Cali' entirely in San Francisco to give viewers a perspective of the city in California we represent," says Jern. And what a perspective it is. Viewers are treated to a visual tour of the city, as the camera captures performances at iconic locations such as AT&T Ball Park, Treasure Island and Haight Street, while the golden state's picturesque coastline fills out the rest of the video. Shooting was done guerilla style at times, which inevitably resulted in close encounters of the amusing kind, as Jern explained that filming at Treasure Island caused a stir amongst some of Bay Area's finest. "The local Gestapo were not too happy about it," says Jern with a smile. Be that as it may, there's nothing to be unhappy about with the final product, as Jern & Co. throw down an auditory and visual tribute to their hometown that everyone can be proud of. Jern Eye's sophomore album, Vision, is now available via MYX Music Label.

Ruby James is set to reveal her new CD Happy Now to the world on March 30, 2010. Produced by Charlie Sexton, the sophomore release features both Charlie and Will Sexton playing guitar, bass and drums along with Mike Thompson of the Eagles flying in on keyboards. Born out of the "Austin Sessions" that took place over three years, Ruby deems this album her most serendipitous and satisfying effort yet. How did this Los Angeles native find herself working with Austin music royalty? Ruby James still asks that question. Happy Now is a veritable triumph for a girl who had, just prior, found herself living in a deep artistic depression. Ruby James' life would turn upside down in a virtual instant when she ventured off to Texas at the suggestion of a new friend, Matt MacCormack. Upon hearing Ruby's music, Matt insisted that she would find her true place within the musical landscape of Austin. Mesmerized by what she found there and the people she came to meet, Ruby was introduced to an impressive collective of artists who would generously take her in amongst them, foster her instinctual talent and help her make the record that is Happy Now. It was a long road to be certain, but with each leg of the journey Ruby would find more strength along the way through the consistent support and efforts of those who came to surround her. As a way for Ruby to give back and since February is the month of LOVE (and Ruby's favorite month), she wanted to give her fans a FREE DOWNLOAD of the entire album Happy Now with every purchase of her new t-shirt thru the end of February! Visit Ruby's website store at www.rubyjames.com to purchase t-shirt with free download.

Singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist Josh Kramon is a go-to musician who has played for several bands and released a pair of indie albums as a solo artist. Kramon also boasts a number of impressive credits as a composer and writer of TV theme songs, including the cult hit "Veronica Mars," for which he composed music for three seasons and which continues to generate fans of Josh's work to this day. His new album, Say It Now (to be released on March 9th on Soul Shout Records,) is about being honest with who you are and living your life true to yourself so that at the end each day you're left with no regrets. Touching on the spiritual, but also the joys of the material world, this is a set of songs that is both introspective and celebratory, a paean to living and surviving in these perilous times. In other words, carpe diem… Seize the day. Just what Josh Kramon has done on Say It Now. "I think that the ultimate challenge in life is stripping away the layers of illusion to get to that one ultimate truth and part of the reason that I made this record was to strip away some of that illusion to get closer to the truth."
