Kelly Clarkson Guests on Jason Aldean's New Album
Jason Aldean had announced the release of his fourth studio album, My Kinda Party, on Nov. 2, 2010, which includes a duet with Kelly Clarkson.

"The album is named My Kinda Party because it's totally representative of what I like and what my fans have come to expect on my records and at the 'party' we throw at our shows," says Aldean. "I think the key is knowing who you are as an artist and taking it to an extreme without ripping anybody else off...it's all about knowing what it is that sets you apart."

Produced by Michael Knox, the essence of MY KINDA PARTY is the solidity of its material. By selling 3.5 million records in the first phase of his career, Aldean commanded the attention of Nashville's songwriters as he put together music for the album. As a result, MY KINDA PARTY is stacked with inviting melodies and intriguing storylines. - more on this story

Dirty Dancing songwriter Franke Previte is expanding his new mission to preserve Hollywood history while honoring the memory of his friend Patrick Swayze through the release of the original demo recordings of the soundtrack's most popular songs by embarking on a pilgrimage to the iconic movie's two primary filming sites while helping to boost the landmark destination that recently has fallen on hard times.

During the week between the Tuesday, Sept. 7 release of Dirty Dancing: The Original Demos (Knockout Music) and the first anniversary of Swayze's untimely passing, the co-writer of the 48 million-selling soundtrack's Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning smash "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life" and "Hungry Eyes" will be driving from his New Jersey home to the Mountain Lake Conservancy & Hotel in Pembroke, VA to survey the troubled "Kellerman's Resort" filming location with which he has now teamed to aid in its preservation. Previte's trip will extend to Lake Lure, NC for charitable appearances Sept. 17-18 at the first annual Dirty Dancing Festival.

At both stops, Previte will be raising money for the Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund at Stanford Cancer Center, established by Lisa Niemi Swayze. USA Today, the Associated Press, Billboard, ABC News Radio and Premiere Radio Networks are among the top media whose coverage this summer has anticipated the release of Dirty Dancing: The Original Demos.

Issac Delgado Loves Nat King Cole
Sony Masterworks will release L-O-V-E by Cuban singer Issac Delgado on August 31st. On L-O-V-E, Delgado recreates 12 Spanish recordings originally sung by crooner Nat King Cole.

He does so with the help of a number of outstanding musicians including a special contribution by Nat King Cole's brother, Freddy Cole. This is the first time that Freddy Cole has participated in a tribute album for his brother.

Nat King Cole's relationship with the Spanish language is interesting and relatively unknown. Between 1958 and 1962, Nat King Cole released his three albums in Spanish. Recorded in Cuba, Brazil and Mexico, they included hits 'Perfidia', 'Quizás, quizás, quizás', 'Ay cosita linda', 'Piel canela', 'Aquellos ojos verdes' and 'Yo vendo unos ojos negros'. His Spanish albums created a new awareness for Latin-American music globally. Among Nat King Cole's fans was Cuban vocalist Issac Delgado who grew up listening to Cole's Spanish recordings which he felt combined Cuban bolero music with the sounds of classic American romantic ballads.

Donavon Frankenreiter Sets New Album Release
Donavon Frankenreiter will release his fourth album, Glow, on October 5th on his own label, Liquid Tambourine Records (through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group).

"Glow," the title track and first single off the new album, is off to a fast start at radio. It's getting a great reaction and a plethora of Triple A stations have been spinning the record early, including KTVZ/Minneapolis, WCOO/Charleston, WXPK/White Plains, KRPI/San Diego, KBCO/Denver and WXPN/Philadelphia among others. "Glow" is positive and uplifting. Riding a sweet, syncopated acoustic strum, the song swells into a beautiful chorus as Frankenreiter sings, "I want to see you glow/I want to see your daylight shining all around your heart."

When Donavon Frankenreiter was 10 years old, he got his first surfboard. Six years later, he picked up his first guitar. It was the beginning of a wildly creative journey: His improvisational twin obsessions have carried him around the globe and into his fans' hearts. As Frankenreiter prepares to release his fourth album, Glow, this fall, the 37-year-old singer/songwriter/pro surfer admits he still thrives on simply taking the plunge. "We don't have a set show, if we did, I would go crazy," he says. "You never know what's going to happen. I love that element of surprise with music and surfing — you never catch the same wave twice."

Perfectly Legal: Songs of Sex, Love and Murder
Glenna Bell has set an October 19 release date for her new CD, Perfectly Legal: songs of Sex, Love and Murder.

Recorded in four "acts" at studios on the East Coast, Austin and Houston, Perfectly Legal: Songs of Sex, Love and Murder unfolds as a music and theatrical journey through a series of stripped-down songs that document the seldom-told stories of a real woman living a real life at the turn of the twenty-first century. The themes are both contemporary and timeless, ranging from Bell's comical, foot-stomping, hand-clapping, beat-driven romp, "The Cougar Anthem," to the banjo-infused bluegrass breakdown, "Big Kev," to her tragic dirge, The Southern Gothic Wedding Waltz."

In addition to her originals on the CD, Glenna Bell's cover songs include a first-person barrelhouse version of the American folk classic, "Frankie and Johnny," that takes Bell back to her roots in the deep east Texas woods of The Big Thicket, along with her stark vocal rendition of Sam Cooke's 1963 gospel hit, "Lost and Lookin',"on which she steps back in time to the a cappella church singing from her childhood in the "Golden Triangle," the tiny east Texas enclave that produced two of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century: Janis Joplin and George Jones. Bell's stone-cold country duet take on the Clint Eastwood movie theme song, "Honky Tonk Man," also offers something for those who love traditional country music. Throughout the album, the spare production technique, with Bell's vocals and guitar aided by guitar, banjo, keyboards, bass and percussion, accentuates her distinctive vocals and the songs' well-written lyrics.
