Justin Bieber and B.o.B To Perform At 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

MTV have added Justin Bieber and B.o.B to the performance lineup of the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Here is the announcement: Bieber, who is nominated for "Best New Artist," and B.o.B, who received an impressive 5 nominations, will join the line-up of performers including Kanye, Drake and Florence + The Machine. Ke$ha and Ashley Greene have been added to the previously announced list of presenters which include Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo.

The "2010 MTV Video Music Awards" will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers, presenters and host on a later date. - more on this story

OMD Return

OMD (aka Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) first new album in 14 years, History of Modern, will be released September 28th.

The US version of History of Modern contains the US only exclusive track, "Save Me," which features Aretha Franklin and is the album's first single.

Here is the announcement: 2007 "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks makes her Broadway debut today in the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights. Sparks will begin her engagement playing Nina Rosario today (Thursday, August 19th) through Sunday, November 14, 2010.

She will perform a song from the musical on today on Live! With Regis & Kelly, followed by appearances on Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends, The Wendy Williams Show, as well as additional media appearances this Fall.

Tony Joe White has confirmed a Sept 11 showcase performance at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville as part of the 2010 Americana Music Festival & Conference.

4,000 Get Swabbed For 50 Cent

Shannon Tavarez is the 11-year-old former star of Disney's Lion King who got 50 Cent's attention when she came down with leukemia. A distant cousin of 50 Cent's, he had to do everything he could to help the former Broadway star and has since made it his mission to help leukemia patients nationwide find a bone marrow match.

Two weeks ago 50 Cent and Tony Yayo registered with DKMS and filmed a PSA showing their fans how easy it is to "Get Swabbed to Save a Life." As a continuation of his on-going philanthropic efforts, the rapper hosted a DKMS bone marrow frive at the "50 Cent" Jackson Community Garden in Queens earlier this week where he filmed a second PSA with Tony Yayo urging people to register.

Since he began working with DKMS two weeks ago 50 Cent has registered nearly 4,000 potentially life saving donors with DKMS. "I think when people hear about donating bone marrow, the whole process seems complicated and a lot more difficult than it would be to actually to save someone's life," said 50 Cent. "I think people would be interested [to donate], especially if they saw me do it, because [fans] look at every blog I put up. So one of the things I'm interested in is being a donor at some point. 70% of the people don't have a match in their family so they have to look outside. Fat Beats Stores Closing

After a run of 16 years, Fat Beats has announced the closing of the label's two remaining retail locations in New York and Los Angeles.
