The Day in Pop Digest for 8/5: (Billboard) Taylor Swift's new single "Mine" has officially been released to radio and iTunes after the song leaked online Wednesday (Aug. 4). more(Billboard) Power 105.1's DJ Clue gave fans the exclusive first listen to Lil Wayne's "Right Above It" track, the Drake-assisted lead single off the incarcerated rapper's "I'm Not A Human Being" EP. The rapper/producer explained that the LP will be "my interpretation of what each planet sounds like". more (MTV) Justin Bieber's 3-D concert-movie has hit a roadblock: Director Davis Guggenheim has reportedly dropped out. Paramount is said to already be interviewing directors to take over the project. more (Jam!) Eminem premieres his new video for "Love The Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna, today on MTV and VEVO.com at 9:00 PM EDT. Shot in Los Angeles, the video was directed by Joseph Kahn, who, in addition to his work on previous Eminem videos, has also directed clips for Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, and 50 Cent among many others. Rihanna appears in the video, which also features Megan Fox (Transformers) and Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings, Lost) playing a couple going through the extremes of an abusive relationship. "Joseph and I worked pretty closely together to make sure we got this right," commented Eminem. "Trying to make this tough subject work visually is a challenge. It was great to have Rihanna, Megan and Dominic on board for this ... .they really brought it and made this video super-powerful."

Tim McGraw will host the 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock ' on Wednesday, September 1, when the special airs on ABC. One highlight of the show is a special performance by reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift, who premiered her soon-to-be-released new single "Mine" for her fans at a top-secret private event in Nashville during CMA Music Festival. The song is the first single from her upcoming album Speak Now, in stores Oct. 25. The special will also feature performances by Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, McGraw, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton with Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band filmed in front of a sold-out audience in June during CMA Music Festival in Nashville at LP Field, home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans

The Scenic return with a new album and a new line-up. Their sophomore album, Bipolaroid, will be released on September 28th. The effort was produced by Mike Watts (The Dear Hunter, As Tall As Lions) and Steve Haigler (The Pixies, Brand New). Bassist Frank Romantino says, "I feel like we definitely found our sound on this record. With the last record we rushed things a little bit and were under prepared; for this record we really took the time to make sure the songs were right and exactly what we wanted. I am so proud of this record it is definitely the best thing I've done in my entire life." (Mute) A Place To Bury Strangers have released a new video for "I Lived My Life To Stand In The Shadow of Your Heart," the fourth single from the bands critically acclaimed "Exploding Head." The video, directed by Sian Alice Group guitarist Ben Crook (Spiritualized, Fratellis, Black Lips), was shot during the band's London show at Heaven on May 25th 2010 and marks the first official appearance of new bass player Dion Lunadon.
