MTV To Broadcast Gorillaz Live From The Roundhouse

MTV Networks UK & Ireland today announces it will broadcast a Gorillaz live performance from the Roundhouse in London. The Roundhouse dates will include full production, featuring video animation, artwork and film by Jamie Hewlett.

Following their live debut headlining the Coachella Festival, Plastic Beach is set to arrive in Camden as Gorillaz play two sold out nights at London's Roundhouse on April 29th and 30th. MTV will be exclusively streaming tracks from the Gorillaz album "Plastic Beach" live via MTV websites worldwide on the 30th April as well as creating a raft of programming to support the show across its portfolio of channels in the UK & internationally.

Help Rihanna Fight Leukemia

We told about this before but here is reminder since there is only two weeks left and Rihanna needs your help. Here is the 411: -In February Rihanna, who performed on stage at the Pepsi Smash SuperBowl XLIV Fan Jam in Miami submitted a request for funding to Pepsi's Refresh Project, which doles out $20 million to various causes. Rihanna is trying to raise funds for DKMS, whose mission is to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients.

Now as a continuation of her ongoing philanthropic efforts, the superstar is personally campaigning for her fans and people around the world to join the fight against leukemia by voting for DKMS to receive the 250K grant which will be awarded to one deserving organization at the end of the month. Rihanna will star in a public service announcement for DKMS urging people to vote for the organization here while honoring bone marrow donors from around the world who have selflessly saved the lives of strangers.

"I've learned the hard way that anyone can be affected by leukemia. It is a disease that does not discriminate amongst age, race or gender. It is the number one disease children in the U.S. die of and it is particularly hard for minorities to find a match because they are underrepresented in the national registry. Celebrities from television, film and music all came out Saturday Night for the taping of the eighth annual "TV Land Awards" premiering on Sunday, April 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

American Idol's Scott MacIntyre Announces Benefit Show

Scott MacIntyre, whose talent and determination captivated the nation as the first vision impaired American Idol finalist, is coming to Pittsburgh to benefit a local 100-year-old nonprofit agency that serves people who are blind or vision impaired.

MacIntyre, 24, a classically trained pianist and award-winning singer, will perform at Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh's (BVRS) annual Person of Vision dinner that will honor Diane P. Holder, President and CEO of UPMC Health Plan.

The event will kick off BVRS' Centennial Celebration that commemorates 100 years of serving people with vision loss through rehabilitation, independence training, employment, and other programs and services. - more on this story

The new music video for Seabird's "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" is debuting today exclusively with the online home of the popular Seventeen magazine, Seventeen.com.

The band's single was also recently used on an episode of CBS' Ghost Whisperer. After touring with Switchfoot earlier this year, Seabird just wrapped up their tour with Myspace Record's Sherwood and Black Gold and Reece. Remix Laurie Anderson

Laurie Anderson, Nonesuch Records and Indaba Music have launched a search for collaborators to remix Anderson's new song "Only an Expert," from her album Homeland, which Nonesuch Records will release June 22.

Sourcing a remix from Indaba Music's worldwide community is in keeping with Anderson's creative process for Homeland, as the artist developed many of the songs-including "Only an Expert"- in public and on the road, constantly improvising new elements over the course of numerous versions. Rather than hiring a producer to remix the song, Anderson will leave it to fans and fellow musicians on Indaba Music-one of whom will have their remix included on the iTunes release of Homeland.

Starting today through May 13, remixers can visit http://www.indabamusic.com/remixla to create their own version of the "Only an Expert." From May 13 through May 27, fans and a jury of experts including Anderson will review the submissions.
