Souls of Mischief Return With Montezuma's Revenge
Legendary Oakland hip-hop group Souls of Mischief are preparing to release Montezuma's Revenge, their first album in almost a decade. The album, to be released on December 1st, was produced by the renowned Prince Paul.

After a nine-year hiatus, Souls of Mischief have reassembled to create a hotly anticipated new full-length album. While they may be best known for their debut album (and its title track) 93 'til Infinity, Souls of Mischief have been producing highly regarded albums and putting on wildly popular live shows for more than fifteen years.

After so long, it would be forgiven if fans assumed that the Souls had broken up, but those paying attention would tell you that A-Plus, Opio, Phesto, and Tajai never stopped collaborating. Whether through their shared venture Hieroglyphics or on each other's solo albums, the legendary emcees have clearly lost none of their verbal chemistry. Souls' trademark juxtaposition of complex, multi-syllabic lyricism against laid-back Cali flow remains as strong as it was in 1993. - more on this story

Jern Eye Video Interview
Riding high from his awe inspiring performance at Audible Treat's showcase at Southpaw in Brooklyn, Jern Eye caught up with the folks at Ignantwitted right after the show for a candid interview touching on topics ranging from his group Lunar Heights, his sophomore album Vision, and much more.

Ignantwitted has done interviews with various emcees including Saigon, Cormega, Exile, and Kay Slay to name a few and their list of questions was extensive and equally intuitive. When asked how he was enjoying NYC after his first performance there, Jern responded, "NYC is hip-hop, everywhere you look is hip-hop, this is the mecca for that music and it feels good for a California kid to be out here repping." Other topics touched upon are the actual origins of Jern's name, where Jern reveals that it was a spin-off from his graffiti tag name from back in the day.

The interview also ventures into the development of Vision, changing the game one track at a time, and of course thanking the fans for all the love and support. Make sure to check out the video and Jern Eye's new album, Vision, is now available everywhere via MYX Music Label. - Watch the video here
