AP reports: The Michael Jackson investigation took a stunning turn Wednesday as authorities raided the offices of the doctor who was with the pop star when he died and the physician's lawyer said investigators appear to be building a manslaughter case. Two dozen federal drug agents and a pair of Los Angeles police officers spent more than two hours in a clinic that Dr. Conrad Murray sometimes shares in a lower-income area of north Houston, taking copied files from an office hard drive and 21 documents, according to Murray's attorney, Edward Chernoff. "The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter," Chernoff said in a statement posted on his firm's Web site.

PR reports: Lily Allen's latest album, It's Not Me, It's You, has been remixed in its entirety by LA-producer Doctor Rosen Rosen and is finally available for free download today. Doctor Rosen Rosen has reinvented all 12 songs using only Lily's original vocals, replacing everything else with his own musical touch to create a completely different album! Why did the good Doctor do it? In his own words... I saw Lily Allen for the first time in 2006 while on tour in Iceland. We didn't actually meet face to face and I didn't even catch her name; my introduction was seeing her video for "Smile" in a crappy hotel room. A few days later I was strolling around a gigantic Virgin Record store in London, when I saw a poster of her and the name... Lily Allen. I snagged her debut record and went home to New York a fan.

PR reports: The pride of Chicago, platinum-plus and Grammy-nominated hip-hop veteran Twista, has stirred up another unstoppable summer storm out of the Windy City, as his sixth studio album, 'CATEGORY F5,' released last week on Get Money Gang Entertainment/EMI Label Services, enters the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart at No. 1, Top R&B Albums chart at No. 3 and the Top Overall Album chart at No. 8.Twista's thoughts to the albums reception, "It really says something when you sell more independently than you do on a major label. I really have the fans, EMI and radio to thank for this great accomplishment in my career. Times are changing and I'm glad I chose to partner with EMI to help form a new business model that benefits all parties involved especially the artist." The album's first single, "Wetter," has proven to be a long-term hit since its digital release in late February. In its fifth month of release, the song is currently bulleted at No. 3 on the Urban mainstream radio airplay chart, and a No. 15 smash on the national Rhythmic-Crossover radio chart.

Submitted News reports: Adding to its growing collection of extremely rare Michael Jackson-related offerings, Profiles in History has acquired the original "Victory" album cover art, painted by renowned artist Michael Whelan. The museum framed, 36" x 21" work of art is being consigned by Whelan himself and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist. It is the first time the piece has been offered for sale and fans at Comic Con in San Diego, CA will see it exhibited for the first time ever. The estimated sale price is $40,000-$60,000 and will be part of the Profiles in History auction of Hollywood memorabilia October 1 and 2, 2009. "This is the most historic piece of Michael Jackson album art extant from the height of his career," said Joe Maddalena, president of Profiles in History. Whelan, who was commissioned to create the "Victory" album cover art by Michael Jackson in 1984, is a multiple-award-winning American artist. He worked for over 30 years as an illustrator specializing in science fiction and fantasy before devoting all his work to a fine art career. His art has appeared on over 350 book and magazine covers, including many by Stephen King, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert Heinlein and others. "My experience with Michael and the other Jackson brothers, while admittedly brief, was different from what I've been reading in the papers or seeing on TV broadcasts. My recollection of Michael was as an articulate, considerate, soft spoken man, generous with his time and his compliments. His music has the power to unite us in sound, and I was fortunate to have had a part in the "Victory" album. I've held onto the painting he commissioned from me as a memento of those days, and for many years it has been hanging over the doorway to my studio. Now, I feel, it's time for me to share it," said Whelan.

PR reports: Grab it and pass it to a friend...download Mason Proper's new (and did we mention FREE) remix EP. In addition to the killer remixes by Wallpaper, Ocelot and The Paronomasiac, you're also scoring the music video and original version for "Safe For The Time Being" from 2008s Olly Oxen Free. Wallpaper was recently featured on PitchDork's 'Best New Music' for his remix of Das Racist's "Combination Pizza Hut And Taco Bell". From Wallpaper producer, Eric Frederic: "This was one of the hardest remix challenges I've faced. "Safe For The Time Being" is a dark rock track with an ominous lyrical narrative. I didn't want to do some run of the mill electro I-didn't-even-listen-to-the-song-or-lyrics remix. What I tried to do was rewrite the ending of Jonathan's story by turning the original harmony on its head and going all major-key-Ibiza-ass-pound on the outtro. Welcome to my first stab at house music."

PR reports: Playloop Records recording artist and Philadelphia native Ross D is bringing back that classic UK drum n' bass sound of the mid-90's golden age with his debut artist album Musical D-lite. There are no fads here, no bells or whistles and no sub-sub-sub genres to confuse you by. No, this is simply drum n' bass at it's purest and most beautiful. No doubt the thick layers of jazz and soul will take you back in time to that first time when you first heard licks from LTJ Bukem and his classic original Logical Progression compilation. Comin' atcha from such a musical place like Philly brings a historical influence. Ross D has always been musically inclined having an extensive music education background in drums, piano, classical guitar, bass and overall theory. However, one thing you can't teach is soul, and there's nothing better than the kind of Philly soul Ross D. deftly infuses over the jagged beats.
