She says in the clip, which can be seen at the full story link, "I'm sure you all have seen me rocking an Iron Maiden shirt lately and I know there's been some people saying, 'Oh, she's a poser,' and 'The only reason she's wearing Iron Maiden is because she wants to be a rock star.' . . .

Kelly Clarkson Sucks Britney's Record
Kelly Clarkson's new single "My Life Would Suck Without You" catapults from the #97 position it held last week to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, breaking the record held by Britney Spears' "Womanizer" which went from #96 to #1 in a week's time. [would any credible artist want to be compared to Spears?]

The single's jump also marks the largest leap to #1in the chart's 50-year history. Kelly previously held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 in 2002 with "A Moment Like This," which went from #52 to #1.

In addition, the song holds #1 spot on the Digital Chart with 279,605 sold in its first week. This is the 3rd biggest digital song debut for a female artist. - more on this story

Kanye West Takes Bad Taste To A New Low
(NME) Habitual 'caps on' blogger, Kanye West has taken to video blogging, saying today that he wants to be addressed as 'Martin Louis The King Jr'.

Speaking from a hotel room in Paris, West says that the new name came to him when he saw the shoes he designed for Louis Vuitton hit the runway last week:

"Who do you know with two thumbs and their own Louis shoe? This guy," West says pointing to himself. [A play on Martin Luther King Jr.'s name? Does this guy have no shame? Hey that's a better rhyme than anything Moosey Elliot has ever put out!] - more on this story

For Lily Allen Father Knows Best: Shut Up!
Father knows best. This golden rule is one that Lily Allen should take to heart as her recent string of controversial comments has prompted her father to go on record with advise that his daughter needs to learn when to shut up. Angry Ape has the report:

Speaking to Spin magazine, actor Keith Allen admitted that fame was unfairly different for a man than a woman: "As a man, I could drink, snort and f*** to my heart's content without any detriment to my career. A girl cannot do that."

He later spoke about Lily's 'tell all' personality, which leads the singer constantly revealing about her personal life. "I don't mind saying this, because I've told her already: she needs to know when to f***ing shut up." - more on this story

The Pennsylvania rapper was headed to Los Angeles to perform on late-night television show 'Last Call With Carson Daly' when a man threatened to explode a bomb on his plane.

The man was restrained by several passengers, including Asher, who held him back with plastic ties, reports Urb. - more on this story

Boy George Going To Jail
(AP) Singer Boy George was sentenced to 15 months in jail on Friday after being convicted of falsely imprisoning a male escort by handcuffing him to a wall in a London apartment.

British Judge David Radford said the 47-year-old former Culture Club frontman, whose real name is George O'Dowd, was guilty of "gratuitous violence."

O'Dowd's lawyer said his client and the escort had both behaved like "drug-crazed idiots" and that O'Dowd's substance abuse problems were a contributing factor. -

Kelly Osbourne Arrested
(Hecklerspray) Just a couple of weeks after Sharon Osbourne apparently attacked a bikini model after hearing a slur about Ozzy, Kelly Osbourne has been arrested for assault after allegedly slapping a journalist who insinuated that her boyfriend didn't know what an earthquake was.

Zoe Griffin from The Mirror apparently found herself on the wrong end of a Kelly Osbourne fury attack last year. According to reports, Kelly took offence at a column claiming that her fiance Luke Worrall didn't know what an earthquake was and slapped Griffin across the face. We're not making this up, although to be honest we sort of wish we were.

Anyway, as MTV reports, the police have finally got around to arresting Kelly Osbourne for assault: Although authorities wouldn't disclose her name, they released a statement about the incident. "I can confirm that a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment at 3 p.m. on January 2 … She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of 29th August 2008 - more on this story

F'ing Britney Boycott
(Reuters) The Parents Television Council is warning parents about the Britney Spears song "If U Seek Amy" and urging radio stations not to broadcast it because the nonprofit organization believes it "would violate the broadcast indecency law" if aired between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. (Not to nitpick but can any of Britney's "music" be considered decent?)

Saying the title phrase quickly out loud produces a sound akin to spelling out the F-word, said PTC president Tim Winter. "There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy," he said of the track, the third single from Spears' new Jive album, "Circus."

"It's one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it's an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly-owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience," Winter says. -

Joaquin Phoenix's Bad Rap A Hoax
(Fox News) In a shocking turn of events, the rumor mills are now buzzing that Joaquin Phoenix's retirement from acting and newfound career as a rapper is all part of an elaborate hoax.

Entertainment Weekly claims that two people close to the Oscar-nominated actor, who made a much-hyped three-song debut as a rapper on Jan. 16 in Vegas, has created an Andy Kaufman-style hoax that is being documented by his brother-in-law Casey Affleck

The hoax is said to be motivated by a desire to lampoon actors who take themselves too seriously and the media that follows their every move. - more on this story
